The Tooele County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received reports shortly after 4:45 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, regarding a suspicious male near the Stansbury Park Clubhouse. Deputies responded and surveyed the area but did not locate the individual, according to a press release issued by the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office.
Approximately one hour later, the dispatch center received further reports stating possible gunshots. Deputies responded and reported hearing several additional gunshots coming from the golf course area.
“The investigation is ongoing. At this time, we believe the shots were taken at random, and there is no reason to believe anyone was targeted,” the TCSO stated in the press release.
The TCSO is asking residents in the Millpond area and along the golf course to review any home surveillance footage between the hours of 4 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. for any suspicious activity.
