BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — A longtime PGA golf pro held an open house Friday for his new business in Bedford County.

The Jim Woods Golf Performance Center will allow individuals to work on their game over the winter.

Woods, who is also the director of golf operations at Bedford Springs, says there are 30 different statistics people will have evaluated.

“To showcase some of that through launch monitors, through video analysis, through flexibility and strength training is just going to be an awesome way to stay active in the winter. And then come out in the spring firing, where you’re not just shaking the rust off and playing your game until June and hope you hit a few good shots.”

Woods says the ability to work on your game all year round is benefit for golfers — not only physically but mentally.

The new center is located at 127 South Juliana Street in Bedford Borough.
