Back to the first tea, the next game of Danny Van, Andy Sullivan and Julian Gerier about to get going. Gary Player holding court. Ernie else next to him and South Africa’s Minister for Sport as well. You can’t keep a good man down, can you? 90 now Gary Player. [Applause] >> He just had two months off, hasn’t he? I think Thursday was just a it was just a feeler just to get his feet to get everything lined up again properly and then yesterday more like him. >> Perfect. It’s got a center court type feel to the first team, hasn’t it? Just the royal box. L’s player there looking on. Certainly golfing royalty here in South Africa. No doubt about that. So, final group underway this week. Could it be Tristan Lawrence starting the day at four under par and that certainly helps a Chip and Eagle at the par five second for Tristan Shaper pin on the right below the hole but not a bad leave here. Very controlled golf swing here’s Jadden Schaper and that is a fine shot nicely leaving himself a little uphill putt for a birdie. Sha Norris to get to seven under. We told you about his mid round. That was a bit more than a wobble actually, but he’s come back really nicely today. Look at that. Three under through the first six holes and he moves to seven under within five. >> There we go. Boi birdie birdie for van as he moves to 800 p. Gura at the fourth for his birdie down the hill. That’s looking good. That’s looking very good. Beautifully held. [Music] [Applause] >> Good call up. Well, that’s a fine start. gets him right in the mix. >> Jadden Schaffer. >> Flag tucked up in the back left corner, but it is attackable. And what a shot. >> Quickly to Gary. >> Oh, nice. >> Not too many guys have had the nerve to take on that very back flag. That’s a peach. Just Lawrence at 10. >> Got a lot of green to work with. >> Come on. Oh, you beauty. >> He walks up. He’s so calm and it’s like, you know, well, you know, just my second eagle of the day. No problem. [Applause] like a good swing. >> It did. Shaping nicely. Oh, what a shot from Christopher Wright. Here we go with right hand then at eight over the corner. >> Oh, okay. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I’m I should apologize now. >> Something like that then. Well, Dale called it. Played to his strength there. And uh beautiful, beautiful third shot there. Oh, what a wonderful hole that is for the Norwegian. And he moves five clear at the top. >> Dan Bradbury. Very natural looking swing, isn’t it? >> A rather tasty approach. >> And now Andy Sullivan. I think he’ll take this pin on >> also very good. Right. >> He’s trying to throw it as high as possible to get it to land softly. He’s done exactly that. >> Goodness me. He really is playing well. >> He’s got another one. Fully deserved as well after that approach shot at number 11. So he moves to 17 underpar and once again he has established a five shot lead. How about that move eagle birdie bird >> to Sha Norris at 17 chipping crossander from the back. >> Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry. Looks good. >> Well, that’s happened to him at least twice today. >> Ball has just hung over the hole. [Music] [Applause] You >> an absolute Ripper of a T-shot. Hello. Hello, Andy Sullivan. Beautiful chip in there at 15. >> Uhoh. Here we go. [Music] So, play. I’m afraid suspended at just after 25 to 4 local time here at Sun City. [Applause] >> They got all sorts of lightning detectors and everything. So, they must have uh something must have shown up. [Music] There you go. Perfect timing. The hooter goes and play resumes on day three of the Nedbank Golf Challenge in honor of the great Gary Player. Let’s go and see if Shaper can gauge the pace after that rain. The greens will absolutely have slowed down a little and it’s made no difference to him whatsoever. What a beautiful birdie. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Oh my goodness. That’s goodbye. I think >> uh in into the jungle >> what’s left of the jumbotron >> two could make a huge difference when all the shenanigans are over. >> So to recap, provisionals done and dusted. trying to work out whether he can play this ball and if he can in which direction I think he’s headed back is he he’s back to the down in the rough the other side of the pond radar >> looked straight That’s well played cuz he will have been >> as nervous as anything over there. >> Pretty much where his provisional went. >> How many times out of 10 would you two pack from there? [Music] That is absolutely a fantastic effort. That really is. He’s going to get out of here with a double bogey when it looked like it could be anything. >> Yeah. Should he go ahead and tap that in, which I’m sure he will. That’s a big moment. >> Well done. Six it is. and he will take a five shot lead into the final round of the Ned Bank golf challenge. [Music] Christopher, you’re leading the way. How would you assess your afternoon here? >> Uh, very disappointed with the finish on the 18, but um, guess good double in the end. Uh, it’s just, um, yeah, clear evidence that if you don’t hit it in the right spots, then uh, you can get severely punished. So, um, but overall good today. Um, I think I got out of some tricky situations. Um, did that well. Um, but I think longevity wise, I think hitting it just that little bit better would be good. But overall with the score today, happy. >> You made a lovely eagle at nine. Can you just talk us through that? >> Yeah, that was uh that was I was very pleased with that. Um, yeah, speaking of hitting it good, I found found something there. Hit some good shots in a row there. And um yeah, the drive was good. Second shot was good. I was aiming probably a good 10 right of where I hit it or even 12 or 13 mters right of that. So uh the wind kind of pushed it. So um which worked out in my favor in the end. Um yeah, it was a cool cool eagle. >> At one stage it looked like you were playing a different golf course to to everyone else. What was going well for you out there and how much were you enjoying it? Well, I think I just um yeah, did a good job, I think. Um hit some hit some good shots. Um but also when I was out of position, hit some good shots there as well to get me out of trouble. Um and my putter was rolling nicely as well. Um it’s kind of weird cuz the round just goes into a blur at this point. It’s a long time since we teed off, but um yeah, a lot of good stuff today. A lot of good stuff. Just uh yeah, a little bit pissed off about that. 18th, of course. >> Yeah, for sure. And I suppose the weather delay didn’t help things. You on a good run and then you just had to kind of wait. I mean, do you think that had a factor? >> Yeah, of course. But it’s just something you have to deal with. Um it’s tricky, of course. You get a lot of time to think in the players, but uh and also I saw Arsenal lose, which wasn’t exactly helpful. didn’t put me in a great mood, but yeah, it’s just something you have to deal with, you know, a weather delay and uh felt like I dealt with it pretty decently uh to begin with, but obviously, yeah, not too happy about uh the last hole, but it is what it is. >> That disappointment aside, how much are you looking forward to the challenge that tomorrow brings? >> Yeah, 18 new holes. I look forward to wake waking up in the morning and uh you know, and start start the day off fresh. Um but yeah, it’s a it’s a cool challenge that I have ahead of me and um yeah, I’m looking forward to that and um yeah um hope to hope to deal with it in a in a decent manner. >> Thank you very much for your time. >> Thank you. >> To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. 1. You need to be a bit more careful how you headline your vids!
FFS I thought a golfing icon had died!
    p.s. I even googled it!

  2. Is it just me or has Francesco Molinari been on the leaderboard or close to it recently? I love seeing it. Things are trending in the right direction for him right now and I'm on board!

Also shout-out to Reitan, what a tournament so far for him! As an American with Norwegian heritage I always end up pulling for a bunch of Norski's
