If you straighten out your right arm, notice how my shoulders change positions and that’s how you have to pivot and that’s how you have to get open at impact. We’re not trying to literally open up our shoulders. What we have to do is go to top of your back swing. Big wind up just like we’re rocking a baby. Big wind up. Then from this position, instead of our shoulders moving back or opening up, from this position, our shoulders should just stay relatively very relaxed. And from this position, if I straighten out my right arm, you can see that my body opens up and my shoulder tilts.

  1. Are you actively straightening your right arm, or is it more of a feeling of straightening your right arm?

  2. Someone else asked but I’ll also ask: are you actively straightening your right arm or does it happen automatically without intention?

  3. It would be nice if you answered a few comment questions 😢 I shall probably have to unsubscribe, adios amigo

  4. Paul Wilson teaches the swing better. This will MAKE people hit with their arms which is why 90% of all golfers swing over the top. The swing is in your leg and hip drive, your arms are just along for the ride.

  5. Sorry, this is incorrect: to start the downswing leave the shoulders alone and unwind from the ground up: plant the lead foot and push against the ground. The hip will rise and turn and, low and behold, the shoulders will turn, without any interference by you, to the perfect position, over the trail leg, just perfect for you to release the club through the ball. Works perfectly every time: it's called consistency, just what everyone is searching for! Enjoy!
