MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) – Another Marietta college signee out of Warren High School, Liam Nuzum will be joining the Pioneer golf team.

He plans to major in land and energy management.

In his time as a warrior, Liam was named 1st Team All-Southeast District his senior year and 2nd Team All-Southeast District his junior year.

He owns the lowest average score on the Warren golf team from the 2025 season and was named Academic All-Ohio by the Ohio High School Golf Coaches Association.

Liam talks about what made Marietta stand out:

“I would say I’m looking for the competition, but also like the next level of seriousness,” said Liam. “High school, there’s a lot of, not everything’s serious. I mean, it’s serious, but you’re not, nothing is level, the collegiate level. So I’m ready for that level and I’m ready to put up the work in to get better and to play golf at Marietta College. I would say Coach Badgley made a big difference. I’ve played against him in high school the past four years that he was a coach at South, so it means a lot knowing him. I know his work ethic and know he’s a good coach, what he brings to Marietta.”
