[music] [music] Welcome everyone. Thank you so much for being here as we conclude our top 100 golf ball list for 2025. This is the final 10 and we appreciate you being here tonight. In just a few short minutes, we will begin the countdown. So, find your seat. Get nice and comfy because this is gonna be a fun one >> and cut. All right. Hey, good take >> that. Good. >> Yep. No, we got it. That’s okay. >> Yeah. Okay. >> All right. >> All right. Hey, >> when’s it start? >> We got about 15 minutes then we’re back. >> About 15. Okay. >> Yeah. Hey, we’ll be right back. We’ll see you in 15. >> All right. >> All right, everybody. 15 minutes to curtain. All right. I want to make sure everybody’s in resp. [snorts] You know, the thing is I’ve always had mixed feelings about award shows. Uh on one hand, they’re fun. It’s cool to see the list counting down. you could see the nominees, but something that award shows don’t ever really do is go in depth and talk about why, you know, hey, this golf ball won or, you know, this movie won or whatever, why why did it win? What’s so special about it? Most award shows don’t cover that type of thing. And yeah, in an award show environment, it would be really cool if I could just list these top 10 golf balls and pretty much be done, which is what I’m about to do here in 15 minutes, this lovely venue. But I’m recording this message because some of you deserve better than that. Some of you deserve to know the why. Some of you deserve to know the how. And I know it takes a little bit more time and you have to listen to me sit here and rant. But I think that when it comes to a list like this, it’s vitally important, especially when it comes to golf balls because golf balls are about fitting. My number one most likely won’t be your number one. My number six could be your number one. My number 17 could be your number one. So, it’s vitally important that you understand why these golf balls performed so well and why out of 120 models tested this year, these in particular were the best of the very best. [music] [cheering] >> [applause] >> The story of the Shrixen Ult was really one of the best parts about the channel this year. When it comes to reviews I did, I usually don’t have, you know, a ton of expectations for new golf balls. And when Strickson announced they were replacing the QStar with something that’s three-piece and originally, I think from Japan that was so explosive they had to ban it from the market. I love a golf ball that has a good folktale behind it. And I’ll tell you what, this thing did not disappoint. At $29.99 a dozen, it’s actually a pretty wellpriced golf ball from the Rip. But it gets better because Stricken runs a buy two get one free sale throughout the year and you can get them down to $20 a dozen if you do it that way. And for that price for a three-piece golf ball that packs a punch like this, it’s an incredible deal. But it’s not just that punch that gives the Ult. It’s not just that at all. But let’s go ahead and start with that. In fact, if we look at these metrics, as you can tell, the Stricksen Ult may not have the best 50 yard spin, but when it comes to the pitching wedge distance and the uh ball speed, it’s top 30 in both, which is excellent. Again, it doesn’t spin that great, but when you’re looking at distance, you’re looking at 32nd as well as 26th. And then when we get to driver, everything was right there in those low yellows, which is pretty phenomenal. Now, now those numbers might not be incredible from the RIP. I get that. But the reason a lot of you have fallen in love with this ball, and it was even during my vlog, I recently did an onc course testing. You noticed it there, too. The intangibles are what really can attract someone to this golf ball. If we look at the intangibles, as you can tell, it’s a 45% greenside spin, which is great for the value. I mean, usually golf balls in this price range don’t spin like that. But it also has a five out of five on accuracy. It has a five out of five on distance control and consistency. It has a five out of five on pure hit feel. I love how this golf ball feels coming off the clubs and it has a five out of five on forgiveness as well. The only thing that truly holds this golf ball back and keeps it from top five, top three, possibly even the top spot is the fact that the durability just doesn’t hold up. And I’ve heard it all year long from members of the channel. Many of you have taken this golf ball out and fallen in love with it only to 10 holes later go, “Oh, well, I guess I got to chuck it cuz unfortunately it’s mangled.” And I get that. The durability was pretty mediocre. And if it had been better, this golf ball really might not have had a ceiling. It might have been the best. However, if you’re someone who’s still losing two to three golf balls around, you think you might be ready for a three-piece, but you need something really explosive, fun, goes a long way, can kind of hold the green a little bit, but it’s not, you know, you don’t have to hit all these really advanced shots. This is a golf ball that you just have to try. It’s truly one of the 10 best golf balls I tested this year. >> [music] [music and applause] >> As I’ve mentioned several times, one of my favorite reviews of the year was the Hanma series. It was actually late about maybe a month ago. And I’ll tell you what, I was just so surprised by the tour lineup, the S, the the X, but there was a third model in there that really kind of got lost in the shuffle. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I liked it at the time, but the two-piece distance ball from Hanma called the D1 is the real deal. Now, this golf ball is a firmer distance type model. It’s not intended to be soft and forgiving. I do think slower swingers can use it, but only for the right purposes. If we look at the metrics of this golf ball, you will see that again, it’s not great on the 50-yard spin. It’s a two-piece distance ball. But when it comes to the pitching wedge distance and ball speed, it’s top 35 in one, top 20 in the other. And then when it comes to everything on that bottom row, it’s all green. Look at that. 14th in spin with the seven iron and still 40th in ball speed, which is great. 17th on the driver distance, 30th on the ball speed, and 30th on the spin. This golf ball has a phenomenal driver performance despite only being a two-piece distance model. But it’s not just that as well. It also combines some great intangibles. When we look at those, as you can see, uh five out of five on accuracy, five out of five on consistency, five out of five on forgiveness. This golf ball has a pretty decent value. It comes in around $21 a dozen, but multiple times throughout the year, I’ve seen it for around 17, which is awesome. It also has a very simplistic design, but I do give it a bonus point just for having the alignment tool that has it both ways. This is actually a really easy to see alignment tool. And I’ve actually shown this golf ball to a couple of people and they’ve actually been able to see their line really well. And even guys who don’t normally line their ball up have said that actually does help because of the way it’s designed with both lines. So, I give a little bit of credit there, too. But regardless, the D1 is probably my favorite two-piece golf ball of the year. Last year it was the Seed SD15, which unfortunately did not make this list this year cuz I didn’t do a retest on it. But I think that this golf ball is one that a lot of you should have on your radar if you’re still trying to keep it in play and just trying to eliminate those pesky penalties. [music] [music] >> [applause and cheering] >> the Tour Edge Exotics. You know, there’s no way to say this and sugarcoat it. Uh there’s a massive amount of respect that has to be given to Tour Edge. I don’t know which factory, you know, I don’t know how long it took them. I don’t know which factory they ended up going with for this golf ball. I don’t know what went into it, right? Maybe it would be a good interview one day. But the fact that Tore Edge decides, hey, we’re going to come out with a golf ball, you know, value, $40 a dozen, you know, kind of like our clubs and that, you know, not quite priced as high as the other AAA companies, but just a step below that. Offer some value, but also offer that quality as well. And on the first attempt, they absolutely nailed it. I mean, nailed it. This ball was reviewed a couple months ago and as you can tell from the metrics here, uh, when it comes to the tour edge, 27th and 50 yard spin, everything in the pitching wedge is in the low yellows, which is great. When we get to the seven iron, we’re talking about, you know, in the top 21, top 38. Uh, the spin was top 42, which is awesome. Again, you’re in that top 33%. But then when we get to the driver, that’s where it kind of just gives that cherry on top. 28th in distance, 24th in ball speed, 31st in spin. Uh, this golf ball is performance-wise, there’s uh, there’s not too many on the market that can just have a consistently great performance like that. There’s always usually a tradeoff somewhere. Not this one. This one’s balanced. It just kind of does everything well. It’s not perfect, master of none, but all those are really good in that lower 33%. Which is great. But it doesn’t stop there. If we look at the intangibles, also this golf ball did have a five out of five forgiveness. And although the spin wasn’t incredible around the green, I do want to bring a point. It was very easy to chip. In fact, if you remember this review, I chipped in two out of like six or something. And that doesn’t usually happen. Usually, if I chip in one, it’s a pretty big deal. I got like two and I think third a third one came within an inch. So, it’s a very easy golf ball to pick up, play, have a good time with. And considering it was their first attempt, I am amazed at what Tore Edge can has done, but also at the technology that golf balls have now come. If you’re if you’re one of those guys who still thinks, well, I play the AAA ball because they have the better techn everyone’s caught up. Everyone’s caught up. And this golf ball shows that. [music] >> [applause and music] [cheering] [music and applause] >> The MG Senior has a lot of controversy behind it. There’s been several arguments I’ve gotten into or let’s call them spirited debates because truthfully, we’re just talking golf here. It’s all for fun, right? But a lot of you feel that because this golf ball is illegal, per se, no, people shouldn’t play it. It shouldn’t be allowed. However, I I wholeheartedly disagree with that for a couple reasons. The first one is this golf ball is illegal because it’s too fast off the club face. I that’s kind of silly in my eyes. We’re all average golfers. I think the USGA needs to do a better job personally of separating tour players from average players. We don’t play the same game. I understand 50, 60 years ago there’s tradition and there’s it’s a new game now and we don’t play the same way the pros do. I wish we didn’t have the same standards. If this golf ball was self-correcting or if it was, you know, had some kind of magnet to the hole, I would understand that’s cheating. But being too fast off the club still wasn’t enough to even get it in the top spot. But the performance metrics are really good. If we look at them, as you can tell, the MG Senior did not do great, but actually not bad for a two-piece in the 50 yard spin. We have top 10 in both pitching wedge yards and pitching wedge distance or ball speed, excuse me. But then when we get to seven iron, it’s even better. It was number one in ball speed this year with the seven iron. It was number four in yards total, which is great. And then again, kind of having that midspin. There’s nothing wrong with that. Then we go to the driver. We have fourth. We have third or well, it’s supposed to be third. It’s third uh three. It got threeth place. So, that’s interesting. Uh 26th when it came to spin. So, uh please excuse the gaff there, but this golf ball performance-wise is one of the best I’ve tested, not only this year, but ever. Right? And you might say, “Well, yeah, it’s illegal.” But let me ask you a question. If this golf ball gives me an extra three or four yards, is that more of an advantage than losing the greenside spin? Because the greenside spin is only 10%. This golf ball doesn’t have a lot of greenside control. So my ask to you would be, if I’m playing with the MG Senior and I’m getting three to four yards more than you, but you’re playing with a golf ball like, let’s say, a really nice tour ball or whatever, and you’re getting all that green side control, am I really getting that big of an advantage over you? because I can make an argument that sure off the tea I got you by three or four yards, but on the greens you’re going to have a lot more one putts, two putts, scrambles. I don’t know. For me, that’s another reason why the fact that it’s illegal, I really just don’t care about. In my opinion, if you’re an average golfer and you’re just out there for fun on the weekends, you can absolutely play this ball. And if any of your friends say anything about it, you need new friends. >> [music] [applause] [music] [cheering] [applause] >> The Bison Power V is one of my favorite golf balls of the year. It’s not perfect by any means, but it does a ton of things really, really well. It’s a three-piece urethane and at $40 a dozen MSRP, it’s not a bad price point, but throughout the entire year, you can always buy four boxes for $30 a piece, which that actually brings it down to a really, really good price point. They’re available multiple times of the year on sale on Amazon. And so, I mean, there’s all kinds of ways to save a buck, which is great. But saving that buck doesn’t mean you’re giving up on performance. The Trust Bison V features this really cool glitter powder coating I’ve talked about which makes it easy to see in the sun and it also really stands out. It it stands out from the crowd. It’s not obnoxious. But looking at the performance metrics as you can see 41st and 50 yard spin 33rd 25th which is great. Uh mid there with the seven low uh yellow I would call it. But then look at the ball speed for the seven 32nd. That’s great. And it had a lot of spin as well. 25th, 26th, 56th, all green and yellow, all low yellow and and green. Just a really wellexecuted performance throughout. It may not be number one in anything. It may not be top five in anything. I don’t even think it’s top 10 in anything. It’s not, in fact, it’s not even top 20 in anything, but because it does everything so well just across the board, that’s what got it here. And I say that every year. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to do everything really well. And it gets even better if we look at the intangibles. As you can see, the durability is the main issue. I’ll talk about that in just a second. Uh, but when it comes to the rest of it, 70% greenside spin, which is phenomenal. Four out of five on your accuracy, four out of five on your consistency. Five out of five on pure hit feel, which is awesome. A four out of five on forgiveness. A nine out of 10 on, you know, value. Um, and then it has a cool design, like I said, as well. It stands out. And it has a great alignment tool also, which is kind of, you know, not much, but just a little bonus point here and there. The thing is is that there’s only one weakness this golf ball truly has, and that’s its durability. You know, I found that after 14 to 15 holes, it usually has to be tossed. And that’s a shame because if that durability had just been two or three points better, this could have been the number one golf ball. It was the only thing holding it back. So again, if you’re someone who’s into that, you know, new three-piece, you know, hey, I still lose a ball or two around, but I’m getting better. I want to learn to control my shots. This is a golf ball that has to be on that list to try because it’s one of the best I’ve tested for sure. At least one of the best seven, right? [music] >> [music] [applause] [cheering] [applause and music] >> I’m not going to sit here and pretend like I enjoy uh X model golf ball. So, when I saw the Callaway Chrome Tour X come on this list this high, I had to check the numbers twice. I had to pull a little Santa Claus in me and check the list twice because I legit did not believe that a golf ball could perform this well uh with my swing speed. you know, it’s not meant for me. It’s not designed for me. It’s designed for golfers who swing very fast and tour players who can bend it left and right. And uh but here’s the thing. This year, the focus is more on performance. That’s what the majority of these metrics are from, right? You know, we we changed it a little bit. It’s not as he heavily value influenced anymore, heavily design influenced. And so, with that being said, we kind of just have to look at the golf ball and say, “Okay, when this golf ball is hit correctly, what does it do? And does it do it well?” Well, yeah, it does. It actually does it very well. In fact, if we look at the performance metrics, as you can see, ninth when it comes to 50 yard spin, 21st, 27th, 5th, 22nd, 68th, 39th, uh, first in yards, driver yards, first for the year, by the way. Big deal. Ding, ding, ding. Second and seventh. The driver performance arguably could be considered the best of the year. I know PXG also usually has a really good one. and we just mentioned it in the last video. Um, I have not released this this review yet. This is a review I did right before the end of the season. And the only way I can describe it to you all is when I was hitting the ball, I kept looking back at the launch monitor and I just kept saying, “Wow.” I mean, I just cuz I was so shocked. I I don’t This was a golf ball I was not excited to review. As I said, it’s not for me. So, I’m out there just like, “Hey, let’s get through this.” I hit one. I look back and I my eyes are just wide. truly arguably the best performance metrics wise of the year. And I I mean you can all can decide that but wow. But there’s also some intangibles as well when we look at those. As you can see uh the Chrome T2X did have 80% green side spin which is nuts. There’s a lot of control around the green which is great. Then as far as the designs you know it has all these different triple track designs and you know special editions which is really cool as well. I know not everyone likes that but it is fun to have some personality there. The main issue with the golf ball that kept it out of the number one spot, and I’m not even going to BS you and give you a maybe or it could have been, no. What kept this golf ball out of the top spot was the intangibles. If it had had a point better at forgiveness or a point better, not that they’re bad, they’re just middle of the pack. But if it had had a point here or there, it would have been number one. This golf ball metrics wise, I I didn’t think I would see anything that basically I mean, seven out of 10 of these metrics are basically in the top 25, top 30. It’s hard to beat that. It really is. And so I’m not big on the Torx, but this year with what we tested with and the Atom set, wow. Yeah. If I have to go by numbers, then I have to say I’m pretty impressed. [music] [applause] Our [applause and music] number one golf ball from last year, the PXG Extreme Tour X falls to uh what is it? Four. Yeah, four. That’s That’s okay. That’s still a really good performance. Uh there’s a lot of things I really like about the PXG golf balls. You know, I have found this year with extensive testing, they’re not for me. They’re definitely more of an advanced golf ball. I think they’re for someone who’s a really good ball striker. Uh, but that’s okay. If you’re someone who does swing decently fast, I would say 97 mph with a driver or up, and you’re someone who is a pretty decent golfer, maybe a 10 handicap or lower, these are worth a try because for $35 a dozen. And if you’re a hero, which includes a teacher, a nurse, uh, a veteran, uh, a first responder, all kinds, right? Which, if you are any of those things, thank you very much. I appreciate the work you do. It doesn’t go unnoticed, at least by me. But it doesn’t go unnoticed by PXG either. And you can get these golf balls for 28 a dozen if you’re a hero. And that value for the level of golf ball this is is hard to beat. It’s really hard to beat. In fact, if we look at the performance this year from PXG Extreme Tour X, 12th when it comes to 50 yard spin, everything in the pitching wedge is in the low yellow, which is great. 34th, 13th, eighth on the on the seven iron, just fantastic. And then pretty much top 10 when it comes to distance and ball speed, pretty darn close to it. And of course, there are some intangibles as well. It’s hard to beat under $30 a dozen like I said, especially for this level of golf ball, but it also has four out of five on your accuracy, four out of five on your distance control, uh 9 out of 10 on your durability, uh 10 out of 10 value, of course, and then it does have a pretty cool design as far as having a good alignment tool. I do wish it came in a little bit more high visibility colors, but there’s plenty of room for that down the road. The only reason this golf ball falls a little bit out of it is because last year I did not account for green side and this year I did. 35% was all I got on the green. It doesn’t spin a lot green side, unfortunately. And that kind of holds it back a little bit. It’s enough to bring it back to like just outside the top three. So, are we splitting hairs here? Yes, we are. This is a darn good golf ball. And you know, it may not be for me, but a lot of you, I think, could pick us pick this up and play it and save a buck and not have to sacrifice performance. In fact, I would make an argument for a lot of you. I think this golf ball would perform better and it’s half the price of some of the other guys. So, if you still haven’t tried it yet, especially if you’re a hero, get on that. >> [applause and music] [music] >> It has been a long time since I have fallen in love with a golf ball. Um, and maybe it’s infactuation, maybe it’s the honeymoon period, you know, we’ll we’ll see. Time will tell on that. Uh, but when it comes to the NextG tour golf ball, these were sent to me by a viewer. If that was you, thank you so much. I should have looked up the name. I don’t know why I never do that. But I also got sent more recently as well as NextGen’s other ball I haven’t tested yet. Thank you again. But when I hit this golf ball for the first time, I I didn’t know what to think. I mean, it was love at first swing. And the way it felt, the way it exploded, the way it looks, it’s unique. It’s got this kind of back alley vibe where like you can’t buy them online. You have to buy them from whatnot. You have to find them from a company that can get a hold of them from Japan because that’s what this is. If you’ve never heard of NextGen, they are essentially a golf ball that is a store brand in Japan. And they have Bridgestone make these for them, which is why it looks like it has the Bridgestone dimple pattern. So, I love that you’re getting Bridgestone’s patented dimple pattern that is proven to fly straighter, which I like. So, you can’t bend it as much left and right, but for me, that’s great. It goes straight. But also, let’s look at some of these performance metrics. As you can tell from the next gen, it was 15th when it came to 50 yard spin. It was 31st when it came to uh pitching wedge distance, ninth in ball speed, 12th in spin, ninth in yards with the seven iron, seventh in ball speed. Now, with the seven iron, it did not spin a ton. It is more of a distance golf ball once it gets to the mid iron. So, that that could be looked at as a disadvantage, but for some of you, like me, it works out just fine. Then we get to the driver. Ball speed number one, distance 10th because the spin is a little higher. And I actually do like a little bit of mid spin uh with my driver. Everyone’s different on driver spin, but for me, I like it to be in that 22 to 2400 range, somewhere in there. And yeah, that’s that’s perfect. I love that. So, this golf ball really fit a lot of what I was looking for. And it was just a fun review. It’s unique. It’s different. It’s why we love the channel. Also, looking at the intangibles, as you can see, 75% greenside spin, four out of five on your accuracy, and then I did give it the five out of five on pure hit feel. So again, it’s hard to say that the value is great because it depends on who you get it from and where you get it. It’s it’s, you know, they come in a variety of cool colors, which is nice, but the reality is is that the performance is what gives this golf ball a top three spot. And I’ve played with it a little bit on the course, too. And I don’t know that I’m going to give it up. I don’t know. We’ll see. I haven’t announced my gamer yet, but this is a strong contender for that. >> [music] [applause] [cheering] [music] >> So, unfortunately, I don’t have another hat to eat. Um, I know the last video I was eating my hat because I said if you had told me the TP5X would have even made the top 11, I would have eaten my hat if you know if I had done that. Um, so the TP5 makes number two. And I I I don’t know. I I I don’t know what to tell you. I have to go based on numbers here. And again, the TP5 has been a golf ball I hate. I hate It’s one of the reasons I started this channel. Back in the day, a young golf ball addict went and bought TP5s from 2019 cuz he was told five layers and they’re better. And I wasn’t a good golfer. And I was I was losing them like crazy. And when I was losing them, I was losing four or five dollars a golf ball. And I remember getting so mad. I remember having these meltdowns and just being so upset because I’d lose, you know, 15, 20 bucks in one round of golf. And I couldn’t afford that at the time. And I I I went back and I said, “Why did you recommend these golf balls?” And they’re like, “Oh, well, they’re so good. Everyone should play them.” And that’s when I started realizing someone, you know, that that’s what sent me down this path. Why is no one reviewing the cheaper golf balls? Can you find cheaper golf balls? Right. So, I’ve always had this like disdain for the TP5, but I can’t argue with what it did this year. It did really well. You know, now all of a sudden, Tailormaid’s had six, seven years with this golf ball. They’ve learned how to perfect it. They’ve learned the materials they need to use. Look at some of these metrics. They’re not, you know, they’re not to be taken lightly. 22nd with the 50-yard spin. Sixth, third, uh, not really a high spin ball. I think that’s more the X’s bag, but still mid, that’s fine. 14th, 5th, 44th, excellent. 16th, 12th, 21st. Again, it’s not top five at anything. It’s not the best at anything. It just does everything really well. And I was so surprised for a couple reasons. One, I didn’t think with my swing speed I’d be able to fully compress it enough being five layers. Those are usually firmer. But also, intangibles wise, there are a couple things here. If we look at it, um, I did not care for the forgiveness or the mishit feel at all. I gave it a one out of five on mhit feel. I gave it a two out of five on forgiveness. It’s not a very forgiving golf ball. Uh 70% when it uh a greenside spin, that’s awesome. Four out of five on accuracy. Um the value is not really that great, but I do appreciate the cool designs they have, but it’s just it’s a shame they charge most. So, the thing about the intangibles is they’re actually all pretty not great. In fact, I would advise most average golfers to stay away from this golf ball because the forgiveness isn’t great, the mishit feel isn’t great, the accuracy can be all over. I think it’s an advanced golf ball. I really do. But when hit correctly, if you swing good, you make good contact, despite what golfer you are, those performance metrics are the real deal. And that’s the reason this golf ball got number two. Having everything basically in the top 20 is is legit. >> [music and applause] [cheering] [applause] >> Yes, the Callaway Chrome Soft is our number one golf ball of 2025. And I think this is an important lesson for a lot of us and especially me because uh I mean I can’t really mince words about it. I I was really wrong on this golf ball a lot. Uh, I let emotion really get in the way last year, a lot of my testing, which most of the time I try not to do that, but I am human and I’m also very passionate about golf balls and so sometimes that does happen. In 2024 when Callaway came out with the new, I guess you can call it Tour lineup, the Chrome Tour, the Chrome Tour X, and their newly revamped Chrome Soft, I was pretty disappointed because the Chrome Soft in previous years had been one of my favorite golf balls. In fact, it was my favorite tour ball out of all of them. And it wasn’t close because it was a golf ball that actually worked for the average golfer. It was soft. It was forgiving. It had a lot of explosiveness. It was very fun to hit. It had a lot of control. It went very straight. When they moved to this new version in 2024, they kind of made it into more of a distance golf ball, and I didn’t really care for that. I mean, yeah, the numbers were pretty good for the most part. It still broke records with the pitching wedge at the time last year during the review. However, I just didn’t like that they had changed it. And I think that’s pretty human of a lot of us. We don’t like change. If we have something we really like and we feel like it’s not broken, why try to fix it? And so, I was very critical of Callaway at the time. However, this year, new clubs, new parameters, new testing methods, you know, and during the top 100, a new criteria for, you know, what gets the most points. And this is what we’re left with. We’re left with a golf ball that, no, it’s not cheap. Uh, it does have that deal, buy three, get one free throughout the year, which is nice, but it’s not cheap. It’s a tour ball. It’s still probably designed for mid to low handicappers somewhere in there. But when hit correctly, this is what the golf ball is capable of. As you can see, 16th when it came to 50 yard spin, fourth when it came to pitching wedge yards, second when it came to pitching wedge ball speed, 25th in the spin. So, all of those are just incredible. seventh when it came to seven iron distance, 14th when it came to ball speed. And now this is really the only thing you could even argue as a negative on this golf ball. And that’s that the seven iron spin is very very low. And like I said, it’s designed to become more of a distance ball. So it’s just that’s just how it is. If you need a lot of spin with your seven iron, it might not be for you. But if you’re someone who, you know, you’re a high spin player to begin with, that won’t bother you. Then we look at driver performance. Eighth in yards, seventh in ball speed, and 71st. So, kind of that mid spin that I like that we talked about a minute ago, you know, had that 22 to 2,300 somewhere in there. I mean, those numbers having let’s see, one, two, three, four, five in the top 10. Pretty incredible. Uh, just as a whole, the performance really shows why it’s one of the best. And again, it just goes back to what I’ve been talking about. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to do everything really well. Also, when we look at the intangibles, 55% on your green side spin, which is awesome. A four out of five on accuracy, a four out of five on consistency, five out of five on the forgiveness. It’s one of the most forgiving tour models I have tested this year. And of course, it comes in all these really cool designs. So, there’s no negative there with the intangibles. There’s nothing that’s a red flag. There’s a couple that are just okay or above average, but that’s the thing about the Chromeoft is there’s really not a glaring weakness for me. When I was going over and I I was looking at the numbers and the metrics and I was, you know, recalculating, I just realized that the Chrome Soft, just like the other two golf balls that have made number one in past years, there’s just no weaknesses to it really. It does everything either above average or extremely well. So, I’m really surprised. You know, like I said a minute ago, I think I let emotion really get in the way of last year’s review. Um, it still did really well. It’s not like I trashed the golf ball, but it’s just I I saw it as being like a good golf ball and that’s kind of the extent of it, but I really was just kind of buttth hurt. I’ll be honest with you. I was really upset they changed it. But now this year kind of getting overing, having a year, I’m interested to see what the lineup is going to look up look like, excuse me, for next year because a lot of you have said that you’ve heard rumors that the new Callaway Tour balls are the real deal. So, if that is the case and the chrome soft is going to be changed again, I’m interested to see what kind of changes come to fruition from it. That is the end of our top 100 golf balls. I hope you all have enjoyed this very, very much and uh I hope you learned something. I hope your golf ball knowledge has grown, but more importantly, I hope you guys just had fun. That’s what this was for. It was for entertainment purposes and it was to have a good time and to show all of what we’ve done this year, being able to put it on paper and put it into a system to kind of show you which golf balls truly are the best. So now a lot of you have some work to do. You got to go out and you got to try them and you got to start experimenting and figuring out what you like, what works well for your swing. And if you need any help, you’re always welcome to email me at [email protected]. I’m always welcome to help people out and give some recommendations. You might just have to give me a few days. cuz I get a lot of emails. So, please bear with me on that. Couple more things real quick before I go. A lot of you now want to know how you get the data sheet. As of this moment, it is officially available for free on my website. Link is in the description. Go there. There’s a tab that says, you know, download or whatever or get data sheet. Uh, click on that at the very bottom. It’s there. There’s also a couple uh buttons for donating as well. You know, again, I know it’s the holidays. I know I talk about this all the time with the membership we have. It’s just a dollar a month. But this list took a lot of time, money, and effort. And so, if you can give anything, awesome. If not, I completely understand. The list is free. I don’t want to guilt you into it. So, that’s how you do that. I’ve also now updated that top 100 list on my website as well. Also, the website, if you want to remember it now, I’ve officially bought a domain. It is golf balladdict uh.net. So, that is the official, you can bookmark that or whatever. That’s actually my official website that I keep that up there. You can keep a running tally. I’m going to do some other stuff on the website this year, too. It’s just, you know, the beginning stages, but still. Um, yeah, great list. Thank you all so much for being here. As always, keep watching, keep saving, keep learning. Till next time. >> All right. Hey, Nick, you ready? >> Oh, we ready? >> Hey, we’re ready. Okay. On my count. >> Uh, you All right. We’re just going to go right into >> 10. On my count. Are you ready? Hey. sound like I got it. >> No, I I got it. Yeah. Okay. We ready? >> All right. On my count, everyone. Amazing year for the kid. Appreciate your work
Good seats were still available in the auditorium……
Totally shocked to see the chrome soft as a number one. That's one of those popular golf balls that are everywhere, and for it to be number one on top of the top seller is amazing.
As someone who is slowly becoming a Tour Edge fan I'm really glad to see that in the top 10 even though a three-piece golf ball is not for me yet. Be very interested to see how you develop testing for next year's golf balls and how it affects the top 100. But for now, an amazing list, amazing effort, and tons of fun.
Ever since your review of the Chrome Soft, I knew it would be high on the list. Had some Dick’s rewards and picked up a box this week. Another interesting thing, if you look at the two big robot tests, the Chrome Soft performs extremely similarly to the Triad.
With the information we get from your videos I wish the golf ball manufacturers would let us put together a sample box so we could determine which ball fits our game best.
Thank you for what you do. I learned a lot this year.
Till next year! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎉🎉
Being in Asia, Honma balls are all over here. Definitely TW S has something special ❤
Wow! Your #1 is my #1! I didn’t find it til October. But stoked to see that, I found it extremely forgiving and rolls so smooth on the greens!
Chrome Tour is my #2 and next year (I’m in MI) I’ll have to try Chrome Tour X.
Great work, appreciate all the info and looking forward to seeing next years reviews.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Nick if I send you a sleeve of Inesis Tour 900, will you test it? I'm flying back to 🇺🇸 in a few months.
Did cut grey not make the top 100?
What is the name of your eBay store? Can’t find it anywhere
I like the tux look for your presentation. I was interested in the top 10 compared to what I play.
Well done, brother! 👊🏻
Where's the ultimate low key super golf ball…..the Pinnacle Rush??? ☮
I've been on the fence for a long time about the PXG. I'm no hero, but I do qualify for their discount. I think I will have to get some next year after watching your list 2 years in a row and the attention they got from the corporate golf publications as well. I still love my trifli though
Great job, I really appreciate the effort you put in to this. The only suggestion I might make for next year is drop ball speed from PW and 7i. If I get great ball speed but not corresponding great distance, who cares? If I get good distance without great ball speed, no problem. Maybe replace it with descent angle if your launch monitor measures that? I don't know on driver – maybe replace ball speed with total distance?
Thanks again for all the great content and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Love the video's Nick have a Merry Christmas!!
So what would u say is the straightest most forgiving ball for a beginner with a medium swing speed?
Anyone else make popcorn for this….lol great job!
Don’t forget to hype this video! Swipe right on comments. It’s free and helps this awesome channel!
Ultispeed in yellow has been unreal in performance and Durability try Yellow it’s way more durable then the white ball
Glad I picked up those Honma D1 from your black Friday video, already loving em!
Great series!! Thank you for your work!!
Great job. Appreciate you and the efforts. Solid list. Enjoyed each segment. All should be able to find something that they prefer. Bravo. Merry Christmas!
Three cheers for my favorite Chrome Soft!
Looking good in your shiny lapels, Nick! Wonderful artwork/ graphics in the video. Did I see a Transformer in one scene? I'm happy to be using a dollar a ball top 30 Tri Fli over the 4, 5, and 6 dollar balls that were prevalent in the top ten.
Love your channel. Funny in 2024 I swore by the chrome soft. After your 2024 reviews, I switched to Vice Pro Plus. Now complete role reversal of those 2 balls. I’ll be buying some chrome soft to try again. Also intrigued by the tour edge ball as a cheaper option. I’m 14 handicap, so looking for some degree of consistency and forgiveness along with the performance. Shying away from the ones you note as needing to be a really good ball striker.
I really like the Chrome Tour X, it reminds me a lot of my all time fav the Chrome Soft X LS, The Chrome Tour X is my second favorite of the new balls second to only the Maxfli Tour X. I would like to try the PXG Tour X but they don't make it in yellow. Chrome Soft is ok, but a little too soft for me. I feel like the TP5 is kind of short for me off the driver, so not my favorite. Well done. Not every person likes every ball, but it is surprising what golfers like and don't like.
I missed some of your ratings, so how did the Lagato ball and the Snell 3.0 do?
wow i've got a dozen tp5s I never touched this year. they will for sure be in play in 2026
Definitely gonna try a sleeve of the ultispeed this winter
Damn, I shoulda stocked up on more Honma D1s when they were $10/doz…super slept on brand, crazy to see them Top 10.
Loved it from 100th right to 1 well done!!!!
Didn't see the top bsll coming, nor #2
I'm great with it. Thank you for the wonderful year. 2026 lets all play better gokf
Question what/where did the Legato golf balls fall?
Are you going to release the bgm that you used for the intermissions between each ball on the countdown videos? This one is really great especially. Love the synth and piano.
Sweet jacket !
