Paige Spiranac donated the entirety of her winnings from the second day of a Barstool Sports golf tournament to the family of one of the company’s late employees, it has been revealed.

The stunning golf influencer was embroiled in controversy at last month’s Internet Invitational after being accused of cheating on the course, with the shock allegations leaving her in tears.

A few weeks on from that ordeal, Spiranac has been showered with praise by Barstool’s Francis Ellis for a commendable gesture she made after the tournament.

Ellis explained how she donated all of her day-two winnings, amounting to roughly $16,000, to the family of Cody ‘Beef’ Franke – the Barstool fan favorite and golf professional who died in October at the age of 31.

‘I found out through a little birdie that when we all got paid our skins money from the second day, which was 15 or 16 thousand each, Paige Spiranac donated all of her skins money to Beef’s family,’ he claimed on the ‘Son Of A Boy Dad’ podcast.

Adam Ferrone, a co-host on the podcast, then joked about the cheating drama: ‘No better way to quell a dirty conscience.’

But Ellis stressed that her donation would have remained a secret had he not decided to share it after she got ‘beaten up in the dark corridors of the internet’.

‘She didn’t ask anyone to tell, she didn’t do that, she didn’t expect that to come out,’ he added. ‘You had to tell the Barstool payroll person how to give their money, and she just told that person, “Send it to Beef’s family.”

‘That’s a significant amount of money, and I’m impressed that she did that. Especially impressed that it would never have gotten out and if I had not found out and told it on her behalf.’

Franke passed away following a ‘sudden medical issue’, Barstool announced on October 27, with his death leaving his friends, fans and employees devastated.

Ellis and Brad Dalke played the inaugural Barstool Internet Invitational on his behalf, taking home the $1million grand prize.

Spiranac was accused of cheating after she was seen stamping on some long grass in front of the ball of her playing partner, Malosi Togisala, which was seen by other competitors and pointed out to her in real time.’

After being hit with the accusations, she burst into tears insisting that she ‘would never cheat,’ appearing unrecognizable while crying on the green.
