Want to start by thanking anyone that takes the time to offer their help.
Haven’t played in 20 years, 2nd time in the range in the last 2 weeks. Went to Topgolf with my cousin and got the itch to play hard again! Got some cheap clubs, the driver is a Nike Sasquatch 10.5 that was basically new from PGA superstore for $15.
My irons at 3/4 swing is what got me excited again, but my driver and woods makes me want to jump off the top golf terrace to end how bad it feels.
This is the best shot I have out of 15 takes, crazy slices, super low angles, even in the lucky straight shots my personal best so far is 203 yards. Usually 160. I’m doing that with my 6i and 7i (160 not 200, hahaha)
I don’t know where to start, I want to get a couple hours of 1 on 1 with a teacher, but I would like some fundamentals or give him/her something to work with. What do you suggest I do, I’m using V1 to compare my swing with pros but it’s laughable. It’s hard.
Been watching YouTube video but everything from a guy teaching how to swing an actual hammer to tips from Tiger Woods, it’s a lot. Any guidance would mean the world.
From comparing my foot work seems very off, the weight distribution seems to be off, my left foot doesn’t rotate and it’s planted, my stance is over the ball seems to be off, I change my shoulder height and I really struggle to set myself the right distance from the ball, among a lot of other things. Is there like a video sets of classes to follow that has helped you to get the basics down? A book? Daly learned from a magazine with a Ben Hogan article, I’m gonna look for that lol anything would help. I would like to find a single source to follow ideally and then go from there.
Thank you again 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Step 1 post a video with sound I wanna hear that bad boy
I think ideally a private lesson with a reputable coach. Next best would be a group lesson or two. Personally I think the 3rd best thing is the swingtweaks app. It’s $25 per lesson, 20 with a discount code. Send them this video and another one down the line, and 2-3 hours later you’ll have a PGA coach break it all down frame by frame and send you links to a video that they know will help you work on what needs work. I’m telling you it’s probably the best $20 I’ve spent.
You rotate but you don’t turn, golf needs a turn.
A turn invokes your whole body to some degree, not just your arms and shoulders.
