A proposal by a Saskatoon city councillor to relocate the Wildwood Golf Course to accommodate new housing will be discussed this week.
Council will be hearing from 14 concerned residents who say the proposal is ridiculous, reports 98 Cool FM.
Another resident questioned how moving a recreational facility outside of the city is in keeping with Saskatoon’s pedestrian-friendly philosophy. She added the golf course is also a popular skiing destination during the winter.
Wildwood is a city-owned 18-hole golf course.
