TOLEDO, Ohio – University of Toledo Head Men’s Golf Coach Jeff Roope announced the addition of Harry McArdle (Burren, Ireland) to the Rockets’ program on Tuesday. McArdle will begin attending the University of Toledo in the 2026-27 academic year after completing this season at Indian Hills (Iowa) CC. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
McArdle finished 11th at the NJCAA National Preview in October with a one-under par 143 and was ranked as high as 12th in the Scoreboard Clippd NJCAA rankings. He also tied for eighth with a one-under par 215 at the Falcon Cup Classic.
“Harry is a talented young man who brings with him a wealth of experience playing in high-level amateur events throughout Ireland,” Roope said. “In addition, his experience at Indian Hills this year has been tremendously beneficial in his development. We are very much looking forward to having such a tournament-tested young man be part of our program and to carry on the great tradition of Irish players who have called the University of Toledo home.”
McArdle’s top recent finishes as an amateur were a tournament title (68-69-69) at the 2024 Connacht U18 Boys Amateur Open Championship, a Top 10 finish in the 2025 West of Ireland Amateur and Top 20 finishes in the 2024 North of Ireland Amateur and also the 2024 Irish Amateur Close.
