  1. they work, not too many issues with them. seeing able bodied guys with these on the course always makes me look sideways tho.

Follow feature is nice but not really a requirement. A standard motocaddy or powakaddy would be perfectly fine, and most 18 hole batteries are capable of doing 36 holes (though it will ultimately be decided how hilly his course is!). Does he have a normal electric trolley already?

Where is this rating from? I’ve seen the Stewart follow trolley spin in place when it couldn’t get traction up a hill. Having to turn around to see if the Stewart is still following seems annoying. I have the Motocaddy M and the issue I have is it doesn’t track true when on an inclined fairway. I’ve had the MGI Zip Navigator and I would buy it again over any of these. Runs true, comes with seat (Motocaddy does not), umbrella holder. If you are in the U.S. and a COSTCO member the MGI is on sale now for $300 off regular price. So why did I buy a Motocaddy? One of the motors on my MGI quit working and it was going to take forever to fix (all these are made in China). Since I purchased it at COSTCO, their policy is for a full refund if you’re dissatisfied. I returned it for a full refund. MyGolfSpy recommended the MOTOCADDY so I bought it. If I have to do it all, over again I will purchase the MGI.

My Alphard V2 is the best thing I’ve ever bought in golf

So worth it – love mine. Great list – also check out Axglo E5. Thanks for being an awesome Unc supporter!

I spend wayyyyyy to much on golf, have a sim, all the shit. Robo cart is my favourite golf tech I have. Love that thing so much. Have a powakaddy, has never had an issue in 4 years. Follow modes etc are nice, but not needed really just up to your budget.

i got the powakaddy rx1 has remote control and basic GPS and i think aside from clubs its the best thing ive ever purchased for anything ….really is solid and well worth it …personally i think the follow feature is gimmicky and not fully developed just yet and for me its probably better i am always in control and focused 100% of the time rather than forgetting its following me as i go over a bridge or across a small creek or something

Only if he has the patience to use one.

I got the navee 3x birdie and love it. I negotiated on ebay for 1250. So worth it

JuCads are super expensive, but they are amazing. Have heard of good experiences with motocaddy and steward as well, though I cant attest to them personally.

Other than that, the product itself is great if you have lots of varying levels of elevation

Alphard. Best value by far. I love it.

I just got the mgi ai navagator and I’m very happy with it after about 3 rounds.

Just to add something to think about: I occasionally play with an older guy (probably 70’s) and his kids got him a power cart for Christmas one year but with the added weight he has a hard time getting it and out of his truck on his own

I got one last year. From a German company called Leisure Golf. It has a remote control, but no “follow” function. It’s great! But a basic one with stop/go button and a speed selector is all you need. PowaKaddy and Motocaddy are very popular here, too.

A remote isn’t a must-have for me (but I splashed out and treated myself), the most important thing is you don’t have to push it yourself, just press a button and walk alongside.
