Ever feel like your golf club gets heavy halfway through your backswing? That’s a sign you’re not setting the club correctly—and it’s costing you power. Once you learn this move, your swing will feel smoother and more powerful instantly.

Second thing we’re going to talk about is as he starts to take the golf club away here, we’re going to get to this position in the swing where the golf club or his lead arm is parallel to the ground. What we see here is that if we look at where the golf club is actually positioned, he’s not at a 90° angle here. He’s not really setting the club. So, this is getting the club to feel a little bit heavier in this position. What we’d like to see is we’d like to see a little bit more of a right angle at this point between the club and the lead arm. But obviously at this position, this is something that’s working for Justin Thomas in his swing.
