“It’s way more intense than people think…we’re actually really trying to beat each other.”
At TGL’s Season 2 Media Day, Jupiter Links golfer Tom Kim shared the questions he’s gotten from fellow PGA Tour pros and fans after playing the inaugural season.
What are some of the questions you’ve received from other golfers not involved with TGL about just being a part of this brand, the product, the experience? Just what have been some of the questions you’ve received? You know, as golfers, everyone asked how different it is and as a and fans, they they’ve asked, do I enjoy it as much as it seems? And is it more enjoyable uh when you’re there? And I’ve said yes. It’s way more intense than than people think. I think a lot of people just think we’re having fun cuz they can hear us talk. We’re actually really trying to beat each other and it’s way more competitive. Um, so that’s been the difference between the two. But I would say, you know, when a fan asks, I think they’re always more surprised when they see, you know, us being more intense and they, you know, we enjoy it as much much more than, you know, I think they they anticipate. What year you were born? 02. You didn’t win that year. So, I had won three masters by the time you were born. Yeah. Three.
