I Discovered a SECRET Golf Course in Texas That You NEED to Play! (Front 9 Vlog)
That’s a good start. Let’s go find it. Sit. Go just a bit. Let’s go. Welcome back to the channel, guys. Today in this video, we are out at Tempest Golf Club out in Gladewater, Texas near Tyler, one of the best courses in Texas. I have heard a hidden gem out here. This is my first time playing. We’re going to play from the blues. Let’s get right into the video. Enjoy it. All right, guys. Here we are. Number one, par4 354. Let’s see if we can find a fairway here. Good shot. Should be good. Let’s go find it. All right, guys. Found the center of the fairway. Got 85 yards to this back pin. So, we don’t want to fly it all the way back there. We want to fly it about 80 yards. Let it bounce once and stop would be ideal. 80 yards is my number. Got to go. Just a little. Took a big hop. Yeah. All right, let’s go see if we can find it. All right, guys. Good start. Found us a fairway. Found us a green uphill right to left putt here for birdie. See if we can’t drain one. Good putt. Good putt. What a putt, man. That’s a good start. Let’s go. All right, guys. Hell of a start there on one fairway green one putt just like you drew it up. Number two, shorter par4. Says 377 on the car, but they got these TE’s up. It’s only playing 310. So, we’re going to get pretty close to this green, I think, if we hit a good one. You can see by that gorgeous American flag back there. We got wind off the left. I’m going to aim at this bunker on the left. Let the wind just bring it back. Come around. Come around. It’s bouncing. Bug was flying around my ball. Should have stopped. It stayed up. You were trying to play a cut though, right? Well, I just healed the out of it. Unfortunately, we just snuck in. I mean, we’re right on the edge there, but I can’t get a club on it, so we’re going to have to play an unplayable. Take a drop. All right, we took our drop. We got 107 into this one. Ball’s sitting okay after the drop. Still can get par one in, drop two, hitting three. So, if we get up and down from here, we can uh save par. But big thing here is with the birdie on the first, if we get bogey, we’re fine. Just don’t turn it into double, triple, stuff like that. So 107, I got 54 degree. Wind’s a little off the left. I’m going to play it about 100, 105. Ah, came out right. Sit. Well, we’re putting. Just kind of left it open a little bit. It’s all right. Let’s go make a putt. Fix your pitch marks. That’s it. All right. Take your bogey. Take your medicine. Let’s get back. Even par through two. That’s fine. All right, guys. Number three, par4. 4 425. Winds off our right. Little little down. Little helping just a little bit. See if we can get off the T- box this time. Hang on. Oh, yeah. Should be all right. Right side of that hill. I lost it. He’s right on top of that hill, I think. Little towy, so it drew. Not great contact again. Let’s go find it, guys. Good birdie on the first, bad drive on the second cost me, but we’re even through two. Let’s go. We’ll keep it rolling. All right, guys. Pulled that one a little bit, but we’re safe. 125 all the way to that back left pin. I’ve got gap wedge. Don’t want to hit it completely full. We’re going to aim just right of it. Wind’s off our right. A little bit of water on the ball. Should spin more. Let’s see if we can hit a good one here. Come on, wind. Wind didn’t touch it. Just off the back, I think. All right, we got downhill right to left. I don’t want this one to go too far past. Get too cute, too aggressive. Hang on. God. Oh yeah. All right. Good two putt routine. First one blew a little fast but able to make the comebacker even through three. All right guys, number four par three as you can see. Beautiful downhill shot here. Pen is tucked behind that tree over there. I’m even sure you can see it on the camera. Got 151 playing 140 139. I think the wind is down. So, we’re playing at like 130ish. I just got a little punch pitching wedge here. See if we can’t hit one close. Oh, I think you’re going to like that. Go just a bit. Oh, yeah. I caught it just a hair thin. Yeah, I think it stayed up. God, just didn’t catch it clean, guys. So, we’re just short. Rolled back. I think it stayed out of the creek. Let’s go find it. Backed up a foot. We stayed up. I’m not super pumped about the lie, but let’s see what we can do here. Sit. What I was afraid of. Had to swing hard enough to get through that little piece of grass. That thicker grass. [Applause] Good speed though. Bad bogey. Not the best T- shot. Left me in a bad spot. Bogey there on four. Moving on. All right, guys. Coming off bogey. Wind is back in our face here on number five. Par 4 402. Excuse me. There’s no You have no idea how much his has been in my YouTube videos. He sets it right behind me. He’s like, and I’m like, Luckily, I pay attention sometimes. Look at all the way. All right. 402 little draw would be nice here. Oh, yeah. That’ll work. Great shot. Thanks. Just a little left of mine. Kick left. There you go. Up on top of the hill. Yeah, we’ll be all right. That’s That’s a very good shot. Thank you. All right, guys. Found the fairway just like we like. 130 back into the wind. Think we’re going to be pretty much a full pitching wedge from here. Pin looks like it’s all the way back again, huh? It does. And uh long and left will roll off to the left. Okay. So, don’t go long and left. Do not go long and left. He’ll end up over there on the edge of the trees. All right, guys. This is good pitching wedge. I’m g aim right at the green. See if we can’t draw one in there with this pitching wedge. Great shot. Great shot. What a shot. That’s it. Did it still roll left? Yeah, a little bit. It’s all right. That was a good one there. Felt good. Strike was good. Let’s go make a putt. All right, guys. Hit us a good one here. Got us a great look. Should just be up the hill just a little left to right. That thing just took off. Right. Yours didn’t break at all. All right. Misread there. Our plane partner hit his putt. It didn’t break at all. Barely at all. So, I played a little less break and then it broke too much. So, two putt par. Hit the fairway, hit the green, gave us a good look. Let’s keep doing that, but the uh the putts will fall sooner or later. All right, guys. This is number six or seven. Six. Number six. Par five. 543. Let’s find a fairway here. Pretty high. You catch it? Uh, kind of. Right on the edge of that. Yeah, about it cleared it. Oh, yeah. That’s that’s uh that’s a great shot. Yeah, that’ll work. That is about ideal there. Yeah, it took a big hop, too. Let’s go get it. Guys, if you haven’t already, be sure to drop a like on this one. Be sure to hit that subscribe. It really helps me out a lot. I appreciate your support. Let’s get back to the video, guys. We at the downs slope and we are sitting pretty par five here. 177 into this par five. 543 from the T- box. So, we caught the down slope. Hit us a good one. Wind I think is off our left. 177. Trying to decide if the wind’s into it. Kind of feels into, huh? Yeah. Maybe a little into off the left. I think we’re going to smooth a sixiron. We don’t want to be short. I’d rather be on that back hill and chip up than be in that bunker. So, we’re going to go sixiron. Went left. Sit. Soft. Okay. Not a bad miss. Didn’t hit it great. Little towy. It’s pin high left. Good miss. Good spot to miss. Not my best contact, but chipping a putt. We’ll get a birdie. Let’s go. All right. Like I said, pin high left. All sitting a little bit down. See if we can’t chip one close here. Come on. Chip. These are the ones we got to make. Birdie. Thanks. All right, guys. Good birdie there. Just like you drew it up. Just short. Decent chip. Made the putt. Back to even par through six. On to number seven. Let’s go. All right, guys. Number seven, par three. Got it playing 165. Winds a left, a little hurting. I’m going to hit a pretty full seven iron here. Kind of draw it back into the wind. Going to take it right at it. See if my draw wind will just hold it. I think it’s leaking a little bit. That’s it. And it’s off the back right. Hit that too good. Let’s go find it. All right, a little back into the wind. Might check a little. We want to land this one just on the front edge. Let it release a little bit. Sit. God, thing released a lot. All right, that one rolled out on us just a little bit. So, we got us one. We definitely need Stay up. Whoa. Thing broke three or four inches. Yeah, I didn’t see that. Even with the speed. Another bogey on a par three. Not ideal. Let’s go get it back. Moving on. All right, guys. Number eight here. Par4. 418 yds. Dead into the wind. A little off the left maybe. But there’s like a creek in the middle. Normally there wasn’t dead into the wind. I could probably cut the corner, but I don’t like into the wind. So, I’m going to go with three wood right at the bridge with a little cut. Let the wind bring it back. Oh, yeah. That’s going to be great. Yeah, that’ll do. Let’s go find it. 158. Pretty much dead into the wind. pins all the way in the back right. I got seven iron. We’re dead into the wind. See if we can find the green here. Balls just a little below my feet. I’m going to kind of aim towards the center. Hang on. Stay there. Hang on. Uhoh. Is it all the way over? I don’t know. I think I hit it a little too low. Think it cut between the swells. I think it cut through the wind a little bit. Yeah. Well, and I was thinking you would be aiming to the left of the pin. Well, I did, but it was started it right at it because the ball was below my feet. I had to aim left of the pin. It started out right at it, though. And with the fade, so I needed to aim left center of the green. Guys, we got pretty lucky here. Another two yards to my right and it kicks down in some thicker stuff. But we got it back on the back tier, which is what I was really concerned about. And somehow we have a birdie opportunity downhill then back up the hill [Applause] here. Good. Thanks. Little bit more speed. That’s in. Well, guys, thought we stole one there. Hit a really good putt there. Good par on there. There on eight. Let’s move on to nine. All right, guys. Number nine, par five. Little off the right with the wind. Let’s find us a fairway here. Get us that bogey back. Oh, yeah. Hold it, wind. Hold it. Should be fine. It’s fine. Should be fine. Yeah, it’s just inside that left pine. Now, it can roll down there, but I saw it bounce, so it should be okay, I think. So guys, there’s some water on this hole left. I was definitely not going to go there, so played a little bit of a cut and it cut a lot. All right, guys. Found the fairway. 235 to clear the bunker on the left. We’re sitting straight down wind. It’s about 252 to the flag stick. I got fivewood. We’re going to try and smoke one up [Music] there. on the right edge of the green. Right on the front right. Looks like it’s on the front edge. Yep. Guys, we smoked that fivewood. We’re right on the front right edge. We got an eagle cut. Let’s go. Way short. That was such a bad strike. It’s like you drove it into the ground. No, I just topped it. You topped your putt. They went right. That’s what I was about to say. Did they go right? God, good par. What a terrible, terrible, terrible way to end the nine.
