Well, howdy there internet people. It’s Belle again. So, today we’re going to talk about Trump’s gilded age, debt, golf courses, and ballrooms. As Trump’s economy teeters on the precipice with more and more people seeing bubbles, while his party is on the verge of destroying health care for millions, while his billionaire ballroom at the White House has caused a lawsuit from the National Trust for historic preservation to stop construction, and while more and more Americans are going into debt for groceries and debt delinquencies rise, Trump has reportedly found something that will clearly endear him to us mere commoners as a man of the people. Apparently, golf courses in DC aren’t up to standards, and Trump wants to be involved in the process of updating them. Several times since he took office, I thought to myself, self, this has got to be the thing that makes people realize Trump isn’t an outsider candidate. He’s not anti-establishment. He’s the establishment taken to its nationalistic feverdream of a conclusion. Every time I’m disappointed by Americans who push off the newest insult from Trump to the American people and return to supporting him, but we’re seeing some serious breaks in his support, and it’s all linked to the same thing, the economy. In true, we put the dollar into idolatry style. Americans will break with Trump when it hits their checking account. But the problem for them is that they didn’t do it early enough. He campaigned on raising prices. He ran around the country and said his favorite tool was one that has the explicit purpose of raising prices. The problem was that Americans believed Trump and other establishment figures instead of googling what a tariff is. But as his approval on the economy plunges to new lows, I can’t think of anything more appropriate to drive home the point that Trump doesn’t care about the working class more than him launching a golf course revitalization project while his ballroom for billionaires is facing a court battle. I’ve heard people talk about a let them eat cake moment, but I don’t think that’s appropriate in this case. The aristocrat in the various versions of that story heard that the peasants were going without bread and said let them eat cake. The aristocrat in the story is out of touch and ignorant of what the poor were going through. But they don’t say let them starve or tell them to do without or they’re not entitled to bread. They said let them eat cake. Republicans around the country are actively working to make sure that those on the bottom getting government assistance literally can’t get sugary food. They won’t even say let them eat cake. Trump is told of the economic hardship of the working class and says to do without less health insurance, less food, less dolls, less pencils. What do the peasants need to learn to read and write for anyway? Am I right? Trump is worse than an over-the-top portrayal of a French aristocrat. Anyway, it’s just a thought. Y’all have a good day.

Good Morning Belle and internet Community 🍀🇳🇱
Morning Ranchhands 👋🏻💗🌞🥶…
G'morning ranch homies ✊️😎
When Trump says his golf course will be less expensive for DC residents he means he will jack up the price for everyone except for a few of his buddies.
Every trump property , needs to be set on fire and burnt to the ground
Last big golf course issue I knew in DC area was closing a course and building a museum in its place.
It was 1956, and the public course had been desegregated, the locals preferred to shut it down instead.
🤠 I am 🥳 awake! 🤪 🐢
Hi everyone
These are consequences that should have been prevented during the 2024 election.. 💙
Spot on!
I hope everyone finds moments of peace this week!! Sending ❤
I'm hearing a lot less people saying "this is what I voted for" lately.
Good morning ☀️ everyone. It’s Monday. We made it. Too bad we aren’t rich. What a weekend. I have a holiday wish. 🤗🐈
We've "evolved" from "let them eat cake" to "let them play golf at my beee-UUU-tiful golf course".
Nailed It!
Whenever it is wherever you are, I hope we can afford to pay attention.
Thank you for the commentary, Belle.
When I was young there was a promise of flying cars, cities on the moon, cities under the ocean and so much cool stuff.
Instead we got F47 and Facebook.
/drain the swamp… so we can build bigger golf courses/
I think the quote is, but why can't they eat cake .she couldn't understand how people were hungry as she always had loads of cake.
Meanwhile 40 billion for the Taliban and 45 billion for Argentina. What a time to be alive 😮
Can we solve this the way the French aristocrat thing was solved?
Asking for 340,000,000 friends.
He"s NEVER been a member of the WORKING class. Beneath him.
His supporters will say…
You are not entitled to the labor of another person
They need to stop that
The White House Whorehouse needs to be put back like it was to include no gold paint and the Kennedy rose garden put back like it was and the building trump has been tearing down needs to be replaced
Good morning everyone.
Damn near all of this traitorous shit can be traced back to the gutting of the FCC. They have a legal responsibility to prevent communications infrastructure from being used to mislead the public. They've completely failed, now everyone's running around screaming their heads off like Alex Jones.
"Last Sunday, on December 7, Mydelle Wright, a well-regarded preservationist, filed a declaration before a court, saying that President Donald J. Trump is trying to get around the law to bulldoze four historic federal buildings. The four are the Robert C. Weaver Federal Building, named for the first Black Cabinet member, completed in 1968 and on the National Register of Historic Places as a building worthy of preservation for its historical significance or artistic value; the New Deal–era General Services Administration (GSA) Regional Office Building; the 1919 Liberty Loan Building, which is the last of the World War I era “tempos” erected as the city grew to accommodate a changing government; and the 1940 Wilbur J. Cohen Federal Building, full of priceless murals that date from its start as the home of the Social Security Board, the precursor to the Social Security Administration." Always remember friends, the reason healthcare costs keep going up is because of Greed.
