The DP World Tour continues its Opening Swing with a second visit to South Africa for the Alfred Dunhill Championship. A quarter of a century on from its inaugural edition, the Alfred Dunhill Championship returns to Johannesburg — the city where it was first staged from 2000 to 2004 at Houghton Golf Club. Following an intense summer in which Leopard Creek hosted both the Alfred Dunhill Championship and the prestigious Africa Amateur Championship, the course now takes a well-earned period of recovery. Last year, home favourite Shaun Norris carded a final-round 67 to come back from six strokes back and win by one shot. Co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour since its inception at the turn of the millennium, this year marks the 25th edition of the event. A long-standing favourite of the world’s leading professionals, former World Number Ones, Major winners, Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup stars have all competed in the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

Welcome to the Official YouTube channel of the DP World Tour. Every week you can find extended tournament highlights and individual player highlights from the likes of Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood. This is also the home of the 14 Club Challenge, Little Interviews, Fastest Hole and many more challenges, pranks and world record attempts featuring the biggest golfers in the world.

Yeah, it was a good try from Chicago. Easiest of birdies. Extends the lead. He’s only just inside the top 20 now at nine under par. Burke out of the rough at three. Terrific shot from Christian Burke. The left hand pin at four. This is Aldrich Potita for Eagle at eight. Thank you very much. And the ground as quickly as possible. You learn it’s not all about the log witch. Pantoando now. Good line. Good line. He hasn’t, has he? Oh, yes, he has. Now, he will definitely look at the camera cuz he just loves to give the camera a little Thank you very much, people. Here we go. We’re over here. Camera’s over here, Donnie. Come on. Come on. Oh, don’t let me down now. Here is the defending Alfred Dunhill champion, Sha Doris, at the par 58. Oh, tasty little eagle. Wow. And straight into fourth place. That’s the way to defend. Staring it up and down. But well, is it in the penalty area or is he safe, John? I think he wants to move the rock, John. That’s what I think. No. Um Oh, that was smart play. Not the time to be a hero. And I tell you what, he’s got a tough third to come. If he makes a five here, the rest of the pack are going to get a serious boost when they see it on a leaderboard somewhere. Big moment. Yeah, there’s going to be a few more. He’s had a go at it. Go on. Well, double at best that he’ll make that. Nicely done. Sha Norris, who dropped a shot at 10, has got it back there at 11. So, he’s a 12 under and only two shots behind. Pitch it just on the green. Get it running as quickly as possible. Settle. Settle. Not bad. Let’s head over to Sha Morris at 13 first. Our defending champion putting in a run here. Oh yeah. He knows it too. Norris second at 14. Well, what a chance he’s given himself there. Sha Norris to continue this nice little run. He’s birded two of the last three and this is to tie the lead. Three at the top. Morris joins Shaper and Shikara. Poorly played hole, I’m afraid, from Schaefer at the wrong time, but he is still tied for the lead with Sha Norris. Let’s go to Grace up ahead at 10. Well, could this get him going? Go on. What a shot from Grace. He’s got to take them all on. And there’s a great start on the 10th. That surprises me a little bit. 20th on tour strokes going green in regulation and that is an absolute peach from the defending champion and he will have that to move ahead of Shakara at the top. Oh, he’s got it as well. Three in a row. Four birdies in the last five holes. And Sha Norris, who is defending the title and started the day seven shots behind. Be right. He says, “Oh, what a stunning shot from Sha Morris. What a run of golf this is.” That is well, John Morgan told us about Chakara’s second into 10. And this is what he’s left himself to move to 15 under par for a while at least to get back into a share of the lead. Fantastic. Nothing will settle you down quicker than that. playing a miracle shot. Four birdies in a row for Sha Norris. Five in six holes. He’s got two very getable holes coming up as well. He is looking for a sprint finish and a successful defense of the Alfred Dunhill Championship. Big part here for Shakara for the par. Now he’s got a great chance of 17. Not to be. I think this might clench it. It’s a good pass. Oh, he wasn’t going to leave it short, was he? Good read, Wally. You said it wasn’t going to break. Seven shots off the lead at the start of the day. Sha Norris posts the number. It is a closing 62. He had that. Oh, that’s better. That’s better. Jaden Schaer, he won’t go away. Oh, what a birdie from Jaden Schaer. He moves to within one of the lead. Two holes to play. And what a time to do it as well for Shaper. Well, there’s the first birdie he needs, you’d think. Great shot. Brilliant. 30s at 16 and 17. And Shaper has this par five closing hold to come. A birdie or better. And the title is his chanted a bit. And he has still got a pet to win. I think. So just a part at the last but a good finish for Schaer. Three volleys in the last five holes to catch Sha Norris. Yes, he’s going to be disappointed not to make birdie there at number 18, but he will have another opportunity because he and Sha Norris are going into extra holes here at Royal Johannesburg. He’s done an awful lot of stretching. Naturally supple guy. That’s so much better than his 72nd hole. He has just drilled that. Stay away from the bunker. Straight in it. Oh my set up left. Looked like he’s trying to hit a cut into the green. That is exactly what the doctor ordered. Couldn’t have asked for more. I mean, that is so easy when the foot slips out like that to just duff it. Hit two inches behind it. It goes halfway. Fantastic. The last time he hit a chip, he held it. And a very similar chip, I’d say, to the one he had on 16. Quite unsure. May the best man win for an eagle like S before and just did not see how much break is in that putty more nervous than I think Ryan I don’t know where Ryan is his dad he might be hiding behind the grand stands there not at all he’s been a great supporter flag or flag outer Jamie, uh, if you’re trying to hold it, flag out, which he’s done, and he’s putting it through the cooch once again to win the Alfred Dunhill Championship. What a putt. And what a finish from Jaden Schaper, who wins his first title on the DP World Tour, beating Sha Norris in a playoff. Wonderful stuff. Lovely scenes here at Royal Johannesburg. It’s been coming. Oh, lovely. That really is lovely from Shan Morris. Wow, Jaden. Um, you made it tough on yourself, but I’m sure the emotions haven’t even trickled into your body yet. What does it mean for you to finally get a break through DP World Tour win? Yeah, I mean, yes, been out here for a few years now. It’s been a grind. It’s been tough, but I’ve come close so many times. So, yeah, to get it done here at home with my family watching, especially after last week, just having two incredible weeks. Um, but yeah, just be able to win in front of my family, my friends, my coach, it’s just unreal. And to finally get it done is, yeah, it’s just awesome. It’s been a good year. I mean, you finished fourth at the Magical Kenya Open, third at the KM Open, and as you mentioned, second last week, and now to finally get it over the line. Yeah, I mean, it’s just it’s it’s been close like I said. Um, but yeah, I just got to keep uh keep fighting, keep doing what I was doing, and I mean, eventually it was hopefully going to happen. Um, I mean, coming down the last in regulation play, I was like, I just got on the green, make birdie, but I mean, just between clubs and I made it tough for myself, but I mean, yeah, just to get into a place with Shan, I mean, he obviously had an incredible round of goals to get up I mean, he pops out of nowhere today on that leaderboard. Um, but yeah, just a just an awesome week. And if I look back at a few years ago when I just turned professional, finishing second in the Daniel at Leper Creek. Um, that one that one was that one felt like that could have been my first win. Um, and to come I think what’s it 5 years later to come out here Daniel different location. But I mean, yeah, to get playing again is just amazing. Yeah, a couple of great shots. Let’s take you back. That chip in 16 was incredible. But tell us about that bunker shot um in the playoff with all the pressure on you. Yeah, I mean obviously it’s I mean I can say it’s a good angle. I had a nice lie. Um and obviously with the shot I had in in regulation play, we just we had pretty much a pretty similar number. Um but I mean yeah, I just trust my golf swing. Trust that I was going to get it up over that lip which wasn’t too high. Um but yeah, I just hit a was probably one of the shots of my career. Um and then to all the putt just to top that off is just Yeah, just it’s special. It’s pretty cool. Yeah, it’s been incredible to watch. Congratulations. Ah, sweet. Thank you very much. Thank you. And in a closing 67 to earn himself a playoff against Sha Norris and then to win in the fashion that he won as well. Stunning stuff from Schaer. Really is for a young man to show that sort of composure. That trophy Jaden, it is not small. Uh but I’ll ask Dr. Ganon to congratulate you and you can lift the trophy as our champion. Congratulations, Jaden Schaper. We’ve seen a few people struggle to get that right up above their heads in the past. Beautiful. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. 1. What solid holes play to the top and keeping your nerves to sink a clutch eagle putt…well done Jayden, definitely one for the books!! 👏👏👏

  2. He's definitely one of our rising stars, saw him Live at the Nedbank Challenge and he's definitely going to represent us well on PGA Tour soon.

  3. To be beaten by a birdie is good, an eagle is even better, Norris has no regret, it's still a good performance 😊

  4. All these broom handles – look sure as hell like they are anchored……..are we actually saying during the stroke the thumb of any one of them doesn’t touch the chest…..

  5. I’ve been watching this closely and I’m convinced Norris is anchoring that broomstick pos 😡

  6. Schaper was money from the fringe the last couple rounds. He bladed at least four, maybe five, delicate little wedge shots from just off the green…I think four went in and the other left a tap-in. Oh, I know pros can do these kinds of touch shots in their sleep. But I can't remember the last time I saw a player stand over so many of these and I was so absolutely confident they were going to make them.

  7. The description is the 2026 championship, 🤪🤪🤪 is this some new Ai thing, future things that haven’t happened, oooh I must get down to the bookies

  8. Norris you are the man. Love the sportsmanship and the class after the great bunker shot. You have a new fan sir.

  9. Martin Couvra is going to be a force. If he keeps doing what he's doing he's gonna go down as the greatest Frenchman to play the game.

  10. World class Norris 😎, for me this is more important in terms of respect for the player than a win.

  11. 2026???
