I picked up a set of Styx golf clubs in August. Probably hit around 3,000 balls at the range and played 10 or so rounds of golf. I don’t have an official handicap, but I’d estimate Around 25.
This year I was able to hole out from over 40 yards with my buddies. Racked up a handful of birdies throughout my rounds, and at very least made one par on every score card I wrote on.
Im hooked.
First year golfing. Broke 100 from the old man tees. Moved back to white tees and my scores stayed about the same. 3 birdies. Two way miss slowly becoming a decently reliable draw shape. Fuck man, I’m hooked.
Bought a fake ping g440 on accident and ping sent me 3 badass hats for my stupidity. I just started playing again after 12 years didn’t even know fakes existed until I tried to register it.
Shot my lowest round ever 82 from the whites. Also shot a 93 from the blues.
Honestly pretty happy with this since I started to take golf seriously this summer. I had only played a few rounds prior/ gone to the driving range just messing around.
About a year in. Shot two rounds under 100 this year, a 98 and a 99. I also finally learned a reliable high soft landing 25-50 yard shot that I’m stoked about.
This was my first season playing. I’m addicted to the game so far. I got my first birdie in the last round of the season. I was pretty happy about that and am hoping it’s a sign of better days ahead for next spring.
I had 3 birdies and 4 pars in one round. I am about a bogey plus golfer. I was happy with that.
Golfed a few times a year since covid and started taking it seriously this year. Broke 90 for the first time with an 87 in my last round of the year.
Last round of the year at my favorite course. Hole 5 and hole 18 both go over the same pond. ~200yd carry if you go for it. I hit both greens with my second shot, par on 5 (par 4), birdie on 18 (par 5).
