What a year it’s been 2025 for golf technology. Usually I have a really tough time deciding what is my favorite of all the new releases, but this year it was super super simple. Now in today’s video I’m going to share with you my best golf technology of the entire year from rangefinders to watches to golf GPS devices and much much more. Now before we get into the list, a couple of things to mention. First off, I’ve got chapters down below, so you can skip right to whatever product you want to see in that category. Make it a little bit easy for you, but you might miss out if you do that as well. So, up to you how you want to use this video. And the second announcement is that I’ve got links to everything that we’re going to cover here today. and our partners play better.com which not only have the best prices on the internet also offer the let’s play through community five to 10% off all of the items on their online store using the code LPT. So no matter if there’s a holiday sale going on if you watch this you can stack that coupon on top to save even more. It’s the best prices you will ever see on these products. Let’s dive right in to the first one on my list, and that is going to be best indoor golf launch monitors. And my pick this year for the best of 2025 is going to be the Uni Core iXR. Let’s talk about some of the amazing things that make this launch monitor special. First off, it’s an overhead unit. It’s going to be the way to go for those who have both lefties and righties playing at the same time, or if you’re in a commercial sim space, having an overhead unit is a must-have, really. Some other things that make this one great in particular include an impact camera that sits just slightly behind the ball and that makes it so nice to see exactly where on the club face you hit each and every single shot. There’s no stickers required for club data. That is a huge one. Most launch monitors, optical launch monitors, while being very accurate, require a sticker to be attached to get ultimate accuracy and to achieve club data. things like swing speed, angle of attack, and much more. Well, with the Uniore EXR, you don’t need the stickers. It’s still calculated based off the cameras on board. Amazing stuff. This one sits at a price point that is insanely good for an overhead launch monitor, especially during the holidays. So, when it was released, it was $6,999. So, let’s call it $7,000. But right now, it’s 30% off. It is sub $5,000. And like I mentioned, you can save even more with that discount code. So, it is just a crazy crazy value. Some other things that make all of the Unique Core launch monitors great are that their software subscriptions across the board are very reasonable and they have some amazing software like their game day software, which is a beautifully rendered simulator with some of the top courses in the world included and the library continues to grow. They’ve also made ther expandable just like all of the other Uniore launch monitors. You can add things like a pressure mat. You can also add the AI trainer if you were to add their swing optics cameras. This is a gamechanging tool to really diagnose the ins and outs of your swing. Especially if you are coaching students, this would be a must-have in my opinion. So, an awesome awesome device and easily the best indoor launch monitor for me in 2025. Let’s talk next about the best outdoor launch monitor. My pick goes to the MEVO Gen 2. Now, the Mevo Gen 2, this is one of the craziest releases I’ve ever seen because they essentially took their flagship product in the Mevo Plus and they simply made it cheaper, more affordable for us mere mortals. So, how cool is that? Some highlights include Fusion tracking where they use not only the onboard Doppler radar, but also a camera to get accurate data points. And speaking of data points, there are 18 of those and really it’s the most complete data set at this price point. Flight Scope does not charge any subscriptions. Most of these launch monitors sort of amortize the price by making you pay a little bit over time annually. Not with the Flight Scope line of products. And on top of that, you get eight courses included for life with E6. So that is so so very cool. So, literally, you could spend $12.99 and never have to pay another dollar more. I love they include this carrying case, so it truly is a portable unit. And with the Mevo Gen 2, while you don’t have to, they do give you access to some extra software upgrades. For instance, they have face impact data where you can see every strike and where it hits the club face. They’ve also got their pro package which offers Dplane data, these beautiful 3D rendered 360 degree views of how the club head comes through the entire swing plane and makes contact with the ball. And if you want to use it as an indoor unit, it works really well, especially using the RCT balls, which will really help it recognize the spin that gets put on each shot. Now, if you know me, you know that I am a watch guy. So, the next category is one that is near and dear to my heart. It is the best golf watch of 2025. And my pick is going to the Garmin S50. I think Garmin, since I’ve been doing this show, has always been bestin-class, and it’s no different here in 2025. But again, similar to what Flight Scope did, Garmin took its flagship product, basically removed a couple of nearly superfluous features, and then lowered the price $300. So, for me, it’s a huge win-win. Just like their S70, you’re going to get best-in-class GPS distances, which are slope adjusted. You’ve got shot tracking with detailed round recaps. You’ve got an amazing suite of health and wellness features. You’ll know things like your stress level, how much sleep, how deep that sleep was, where your heart rate’s at, and so much more. You can track every single athletic activity that you do with the Garmin S50. It is literally the full package both on and off the golf course. Now, the one thing that is missing from the S70, like I mentioned, is going to be the virtual caddy. And that is a very cool feature where it literally will help you decide which golf club to hit for any given situation. But if you can live without that, you can save a boatload of money and have really the best build quality and best ergonomics in a golf smartwatch. The Garmin S50 is killer. Let’s move on to our best rangefinder category. Now, in 2025, we saw the advent of rangefinders that literally would give you club recommendations in the viewfinder. We saw it from a couple of manufacturers, but the one that stood out to me was the Bushnell Pro X3 Plus Link. It’s a mouthful of a product name, but man, is it cool. Here are the ultimate cool factor features that stand out for a golf geek like me. First off, it has my bag technology. That’s the link. So, it provides real-time personalized club and play as recommendations. It’s literally going to tell you which club to hit in your rangefinder. When I took this out on course on I believe it was the fifth hole I played that day, I listened to what the rangefinder told me and I chose that club recommendation over what I would have hit. And crazy enough, I hold out from the fairway for Eagle. It was such a rush. Other things that this rangefinder can do includes wind speed and direction. So now it syncs with its mobile app in order to give you a slope adjusted distance that includes wind. It also has those slope and element compensations we’ve seen before in other Bushnell rangefinders where it adjusts for temperature, barometric pressure, the slope, and it even adjusts for your home elevation to deliver precise distances for you. It is crazy. Some other things I love about it are its dual display technology. So you can use red or black display numbers on board depending on what stands out for you. It’s got a patented locking slope switch. You can quickly and easily detect if you are tournament legal with this rangefinder. Of course, it’s got Bushnell’s bite magnetic cart mount so you can mount this to the side of your golf cart. It’s IPX7 waterproof. It’s got a rugged design and it’s got Bluetooth connectivity to its app so you can see where you are on the course and every feature of the hole. This thing is the total package. It comes for a total package price, but during the holidays, you can save a little bit of money right now on this rangefinder. And I’ve said it for many years now. If you want the best of the best, it’s got to be a Bushnell for rangefinders. Next, let’s move on to best electric golf cart. I’m a person who likes to walk their rounds out on the golf course. I feel like that is the best way to experience a golf course. Really take it in, soak it in. And I love walking. And it makes it a lot easier when you’ve got a golf cart that’s electrified. Especially if you’re playing in a hilly environment or if you’re playing a really long golf course, these come in so handy. You don’t have to push it and exert the energy. It literally goes for you. But this golf cart does even more than that because it literally follows you. And I’m talking about the Green Eagle Follow Mate. At $1,799 MSRP, the price point absolutely rocks. It’s really unbeatable. Most of these follow golf carts are going to be up into the high 2000s, even $3,000 range. I found this to be rock solid on course. It’s got five driving modes. You can either use the remote or even an app to control this thing. It’s got great battery life, and I love love love the onboard screen so you know exactly how much battery life you’ve got. I can’t say that for most of these golf carts on the market. You generally just have to guess, so it’s nice to have. On top of that, Green Eagle includes all sorts of different accessories for your balls, your drinks, your umbrella, and more. And it folds down nice and slim for storage in your trunk or taking it with you when you travel. And in fact, they include a travel case with this. So, it’s an incredible tool at an incredible price and is easily my favorite electrified golf cart that I’ve tested in 2025. Let’s move on to my best golf speaker of 2025. music out on a golf course is polarizing. I will say I used to really really be against it, but these days, especially in Florida, especially at the golf club I play, a lot of folks are listening to music and it’s just become background noise for me and I’m kind of starting to get it to be honest. Well, if you’re a person that wants a golf speaker, you can’t do any better in my opinion than the new Bushnell Wingman HD. Bushnell is known for premium products like we talked about with their rangefinders, but this is an entry into the world of Bushnell at frankly a crazy price point. It blows my mind that they can sell this thing for so cheap. It retails for $199. Sub $200 is crazy for what this thing can do because it has a crystal clear AMOLED screen that is super bright out on course to give you GPS yardages, full course maps. You can literally see every shot you’re going to take. And you’ve got best-in-class sound when it comes to a golf speaker, which will easily connect to your phone to play any of your favorite playlists. And just like the rangefinders, this one comes with that magnetic bite technology, which I found to be perfect inside my house as well as the golf course. I literally stick it right up against my refrigerator, and it really lights up my entire downstairs with really premium audio. This thing might be my favorite golf tech of the entire year. All told, it’s that good. So, if you’re looking for a golf speaker, this thing is priced so right, it really just makes it a no-brainer. Don’t even worry about the other options on the market. It’s got to be this Bushnell Wingman HD right now. All right, the last item on our list here is going to be the best swing stick. We’ve seen more and more of these fun devices, which allow you to play simulator golf on your television or even outside in the backyard using an app. My favorite one here that came out in 2025 is going to be the Pyolf Flex 2. This is super fun for the whole family. My kids use it and they get to play golf without feeling frustrated. But then I get to use it and I can literally screw the sensor into the back of my clubs and hit my own clubs and get what I would say fairly accurate data out of this thing, including club speed, shot direction, shot shape, all those sorts of things. Now, I would say that the Pyolf is more of a fun entertainment device than a super super accurate launch monitor. But with that said, at this price point, it is a lot of bang for the buck. Especially for those that just want to enjoy their time with family, friends. Makes a great party game, for instance. You really can’t go wrong with the Pyolf Flex 2. So, there you have it. That’s my favorite golf tech here that I have taken a look at in 2025. I think I’ve seen everything there is to see and we’ll be doing it again at the PGA show here in January in 2026. I always love to release a video from the PGA show so you can see what’s coming. So, make sure you’re subscribed and don’t miss that. And please do leave me a comment down below with any of the golf tech that really caught your eye in 2025. Of course, I would love to know that, too. I hope you enjoyed this video. I’ll catch you back here next time on another edition of Let’s Play Through.
