MV410i – Maun Motors Premier Stages 1994

The 1994 Premier was Neil Hiorns second win in Clipstone forest in that year. A late season classic, the Premier stages has always been popular with clubmen and the 1994 event was no different. With a strong entry of 82 crews in a verity of cars from the RS Cosworth Escort that was the stat of the art in the day to a 105e Ford Anglia with a 2 litre Cosworth engine and the unusual rally car a Vauxhall Carlton GSI

Certainly the driver is. And he already has won the judge rally this year. He’s now made it a double. He receives the Walkers Trophy in an Escort Cossworth Car One, Neil Irons, and Tom Watson. I’ll be getting another one. [Music] Right. So, who’s going to do it? Dan did it last time. On behalf of the competitors, I’d like to thank Mom Motors for their sponsorship. Uh, it’s very difficult to get sponsors these days. And you can’t hear me. Is that right? Neil Neil complained about that today. I’d like to thank Mon Motors for their sponsorship because without people like Mon Motors, uh it’s very very difficult to put events like this on. Second, on behalf of the competitors, one guy I really would like to thank is Andy Smith of course. A really good event, Andy. But I still don’t like that chilled clown stage. The work is too deep. You’re right. You’re right. But leaving all that aside, the other people that really do need thanking are the marshals. Uh they stand out in all kinds of weathers.
