GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Beyond Par Indoor Golf is an golf simulator facility that opened in June.

Owner April Twilla decided to open Beyond Par because she wanted a family-friendly experience for golf and sports fans to hang out and play some games.

“We traveled up to Michigan to visit my oldest son and there were indoor golf places everywhere, we realized we didn’t have anywhere like that at the time down here,” Twilla said.

Golf simulators are a great way to play 18 without the uncertainties of weather conditions or having to move from hole to hole.

They have over 1,900 playable courses, including iconic locations like Augusta National — where the Masters are played every year — on the shores at Pebble Beach, and even FedEx’s TPS Southwind in Memphis.

But golf is not the only sport they provide.

“So we have the driving range of course,” Twilla said. “We have over 1,900 courses though one of the softwares, and we also have skills challenges. On the multi-sport we have basketball, hitting and pitching for baseball, kicking and passing for football, soccer, foot golf, bowling, zombie dodgeball, skeet shoot, trail hunting, you name it we have it. Hockey even.”

Here is how it works: A group can reserve one of two of their state-of-the-art simulators and pay a rate amount determined by the hours spent and number of players.

A set of golf clubs are included with your reservation, but golfers are encouraged to bring their own.

They also offer loyalty club and memberships, as well as events for birthday parties or company gatherings.
