I bought a fiber laser from ComMarker because I want to clean and repair old golf clubs and do custom designs. This was my first attempt. Ran some passes to clean the nicks, dings, and gouges, then ran a polishing pass or two. After that, I made a diamond mill pattern and added that! This club was struggling before to get 4k spin on a good shot and now it's sitting around 9k.

  1. Thats pretty sick, dont know if its usga legal anymore but who cares

  2. This is awesome. Where would one learn how to do this? Which one did you get?

Looks great! Is the pattern just aesthetic? will it effect ball flight/spin?

Even if you were in my weekly crew of skins, DGAF you did this. This looks fantastic!

No offense but that’s on of the ugliest wedges ever made. 🤷‍♂️😊

Nice job. What machine did you buy and why ? This is a great idea , wedges are way too expensive these days.

Does this perform better (consistancy) of is it just for the looks?

Ping eye2 sand wedge. Still use mine and it’s probably my favorite club

Hate to be that guy, but i don’t think laser etching/engraving = milled.

Ping charges $17.75 per club for refinishing, which includes the resurfacing, replacement of shaft bands and emblems, and the option for a free lie adjustment if requested. I would think it would be hard to make your money back, but I am sure people would like to avoid the weeks wait for sending them back to the factory

That’s cool as hell, OP. Why didn’t you do a full-face mill though?

This looks sick and anyone that’s a casual golfer would be a dick to complain about this. Don’t listen to the haters. Jealousy is a disease, hope they get well soon 🙏

If you want some golf clubs to test I got some old Miuras I’d like to get refinished!

The laser takes off the dings and stuff? Did you have a refinishing process? Winters suck where I’m at, and would love to be able to refinish my sticks, but there ain’t a polish out there that takes the dings out well enough.

Sorry if this was already mentioned, but you have it labeled as “milled” and these are not milled. Just laser engraved! Looks great though

That’s pretty cool to see the difference
