Round 2 Highlights | 2025 Nedbank Golf Challenge in honour of Gary Player
The DP World Tour continues its double header Down Under with the Crown Australian Open at Royal Melbourne Golf Club. After a 20-year absence, this week sees golf’s global Tour return to the renowned Royal Melbourne Golf Club for the fifth time. It previously staged the Heinekin Classic for four consecutive years between 2002-2005. This is the 17th time the men’s Crown Australian Open – co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR of Australasia since 2022 – has been held at the venue and the first since since 1991. Royal Melbourne was most recently under the international golf microscope when it hosted the Presidents Cup in 2019. At the top of the field is Rory McIlroy, making his 2026 DP World Tour season debut. McIlroy may be the headline name, but there are plenty of other draw cards for the home crowds. Among those are Major champions Adam Scott, Cam Smith and Geoff Ogilvy. Min Woo Lee draws strong support too, while fellow Antipodeans Ryan Fox, Daniel Hillier and Kazuma Kobori will be out to impress. There is a strong international presence, with South Korea’s Si Woo Kim, Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz and Japan’s Ryo Hisatsune among those to receive an invite.
Welcome to the Official YouTube channel of the DP World Tour. Every week you can find extended tournament highlights and individual player highlights from the likes of Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood. This is also the home of the 14 Club Challenge, Little Interviews, Fastest Hole and many more challenges, pranks and world record attempts featuring the biggest golfers in the world.

Let me find this opening fairway. Aiming left, looking to just bleed it off of that track. He’s long. Yeah. 190 mph ball speed. England. His swing coach Liam James. They’ve been working on a new move in the down swing. He said it worked perfectly for 17 holes yesterday. Sadly made a a double bogey at nine. His final hole of the day. Still six under a great start to the week. Can he keep it going? Surely that’s perfect. No, it is a little right. Get lucky. Oh, it’s buried. Well, he’s long as well. So, it’ be interesting to see where Senson’s ball is in comparison. And well, he’s hit it 50 yards past right hand as Vincent. It’s a huge hit. Danny Van in the green side bunker at number five playing in the same group as Victor Hovland. Well, that smartens things up, doesn’t it? Need to be one yard left of this flag. Or there will also work. Got to be not too greedy. It’s quite a steep lip. How far down can he get this? How far down can he get this? That is outrageous. That’s a long way, Tony. That is unbelievable. Now watch this swing. It’s a little different. The result is as good as any. Hard to do this when the greens are so perfect, but he’s got it nice and clean. And he has played a beauty. Settle. It’s a cracking golf swing. There’s no wonder he’s playing well. Relentless. Wow. Now Lawrence at the seventh. Little chip and run up the hill. He’ll be trying to get this very close if not in. Lovely shot. Now not third shot into this ninth green. Oh, beauty. Now this is interesting. What do you think? Will it or won’t it work? Oh, on nearly very nearly. Well, we’ve seen two people in that bunker and would you believe it, they’ve both hauled out. Flag out. Wants to make amends for that bunker shot. Tell you what, I tell you what. Nice up and down out the sand. Helps the putting stats. Matthew Fitzpatrick style up to Sullivan. Double breaker. Nailed the perfect read from the Englishman. I tell you what, that Wayne Riley knows a thing or two. What a great call. Just a little white flag at the end just to give you hope. Yes. A note. Oh, not another one. Oh my goodness. That’s the third bunker shot. Fantastic. [Applause] [Applause] Woo! Arrow straight. I’ve seen all sorts of shots hold from the green’s edge. What’s Danny got for us? Oh, Dan truly is the man. Unbelievable. He’s hold twice from off the green and we’ve seen now what’s that? The fourth one we’ve seen hold. Trista Lawrence meanwhile from 131 yds into 11. That’s a beauty. [Applause] Well, this was the hole that was his undoing yesterday. Made a double bogey here. Not today. I think he’s swinging the club beautifully. And this is the lefty Garrick Higo. Very fast putt down the hill at the path for 11th. Keep going. Keep going, baby. Beautiful. A tournament winner on the PGA tour this year. Gur he’s a bit further forward on 11 right hand pin. Remember front right today. Not so far from there. How about that? Double bogey here yesterday and an at eagle today. What a nice bounce back. to 15th playing with Van Victor Hovland. Remember he boied the 14th this to bounce back. Oh, there we go. That’s what the top class players do. [Applause] He’s had quite the following out there over the first couple of days. The chest putter from the kua. Oh, he’s plattered the flag and it’s in for a three. And after a slow start last year on the DP World Tour, maybe not so this year for Dan. Not a lot of green to work with here. Mattered. Not a jot finds a final birdie. Home in 32 shots. Lawrence got over the water at 17. An absolute gem. Up ahead. That’s the ball of Adrien Sadier. Oh, what a day he’s having. Go on. Yes. Well done. Perhaps a little bit fortunate, but it’s very good now. It’s what happens when you’re playing well, isn’t it, Dale? You get all the good breaks. You have good luck from bad shots and bad luck sometimes from good shots. Well, I’m afraid it is going to be a triple bogey putt for Marcus Armitage. So much good work out there today. And that is a bit of a hammer blow I’m afraid. Cura over the water here at the 17th. Dangerous of the bunker on the right. Water short, water left and water past, but nothing has bothered him. Beautiful shot. That was a very friendly little bounce, wasn’t it? I think he’s going to have a go. That sounded like a delicious strike. Surely not. Surely not again. I mean, comfortably. Comfortably this. He’s just showing no hint of fear. I would be terrified with that. He got the picture. And what that what that means in English is visualize the shot that you want to play. 174 yds to go. Great angle, too. Beautiful. Look at those three shots. Wow. Up to 18. Sadier for a closing par. Two gone in the last three, I’m afraid. Sadier back to 11 under, but it is around a 67. So 66 67 over the first couple of days here at Sun City. Not really anything wrong with that. It just won’t feel. Oh, how’s your bags? How is your banks? It’s an excellent second. Just like that. So he grabs the lead outright ahead of Sadier. And it is another round in the 60s for Christopher Wright which we said or actually I said would be a good day. So well done. It was [Music] a 69 today here at the Gary Player Country Club. give us an assessment of your day. Uh pretty happy to be honest. Um started off pretty well in my opinion and um but it’s struggling with the approach shots is how I kind of just quickly review it. Uh which gives you a little bit of trouble but had some good short game which saved me a few times and um um yeah towards the end I could feel how difficult it was once the approach shots weren’t really cooperating. So, um, yeah, tough tough course, but happy to finish off strong with a birdie at the last and, um, yeah, it’s it’s a good overall score. So, happy. As you say, tough course. How difficult is it to stay patient out there, too? Yeah, it’s it’s difficult, you know, especially early on the wind was kind of there wasn’t a lot of wind, but it was just going in circles, so I had no idea what it was doing. I think uh the same is for kind of everyone in this field. And, uh, yeah, it was frustrating. Um but yeah, challenging course and you need to stay on it as I said yesterday and um needed a little bit of grind in there today and uh yeah, happy I got around to a to a good score. Not many birdies on that final hole here today. You had one of them and you take a one-shot lead into Saturday. How happy to get that birding take the lead into tomorrow? No, pleased about that. Uh happy with the bounce that I got. Um yeah, no happy uh happy to keep the momentum up a little bit with that birdie on the last. So, it’s a little bit not not a great feeling to make those backto-back bogeies. So, uh yeah, it’s good to bounce back with a birdie on the west. Really good days. Two days, Christopher. Good luck tomorrow. Thank you very much. Thank you. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. And to subscribe, click here.

Team Shaun Norris 🇿🇦
Saddier finished day 2 at -11. I see at the end of day 3 he's +4. So he shot 15 over par today? That is a disaster round of note.
Tiger played in this tourney in 98. Miss the good ol days😢
