The Millicent Cancer Support Group recently staged a charity day at the Millicent Golf Club which was judged to be a financial and social success.
The club waived the green fees at its Mount Burr course to maximise the returns to the local charity.
“We had 27 teams in an Ambrose competition on the very picturesque course,” a Millicent Cancer Support Group spokesperson said.
“The weather was kind and a great day was had by all.
“Thank you to all the helpers on the day from the Millicent Golf Club and our wonderful MCSG team. “We raised $7700 which is amazing.
“This is our only possible because of the generous district that we live in and the community that never hesitates when we ask for donations.”
