Here’s the 2025 Australian Open prize money payout in full…
Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen is a DP World Tour winner.
In just the second event of the 2026 season – and at Australia’s major, no less – the Dane edged to a one-shot victory over home favorite Cameron Smith at Royal Melbourne to take home the winner’s share of the $2 million purse.
There were also three spots at the 154th Open up for grabs. They were taken by Si Woo Kim, Michael Hollick and Adam Scott – who finished 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.
Scott, who is already exempt for the Masters as a former champion, will make his 98th start in a row at a major at Augusta in April, needs to earn a spot at the PGA Championship and US Open in order to become just the second player to compete in 100 without missing one.
The last time the Australian wasn’t in a major field was the 2001 US Open.
