Just played this on the sim – I hit a perfect drive and a perfect 3 wood, and still had 140 in.
Since it's at higher altitude, the ball carries like 10% further, but still… lop off 10% of 778 and you still are looking at a ridiculously long hole.

I wanted to look it up just to make sure I wasn’t totally out of my mind, but strokes gained statistics cap out at 700 yards. There is no strokes gained statistics published by Mark Brodie for holes greater than 700 yards.
BUT if we infer the SG trend between 600 – 700 yards and use it to draw a conclusion at 773, it’s an average of 5.20 strokes to hole out at that distance.
Also, funny enough the USGA in Appendix F recommends Par 5’s to not exceed 710 yards for men. Since this is a 773 yard hole with an average playing factor of +0.2 above par, AND it’s outside of the USGA’s recommendations for establishing par, it’s technically NOT a par 5.
So all in all, great birdie.
Yup, it’s a long ass hole. That bunker is a bitch too, at least 10′ deep.
1st time I played I didn’t clear it and had to just wedge it out.
2nd time I got hung up right on the lip at the very top where that red dot is. Nothing but a punch out or risk falling down that cliff

lol 600 yards and still 140 out.
What color tees is that hole played from?
Played there this summer with a group of members. No one plays it at that distance. (Even the Korn Ferry event played it between 690-720)
We tried for fun and it was driver -> 3 wood -> 3 wood -> wedge.
Beautiful course though. A little gimmicky on some holes, including this one obviously.
It’s an easy hole
I play this course quite often, this hole is almost always a bitch. Wind tends to be right in the face. Basically go Driver, 5w, 5w every time lol. I’ve made par once, felt good
770 at 1 mile elevation, which takes ~10% off the yardage, so 693ish. If I recall it was designed to be with the trade wind, so another 5 to 10%, and slightly downhill.
Not saying it isn’t long, but under the right conditions (firm and fast and downwind) it’s more of a normal above average length par 5. Hence the giant bunker in front for all those going for it in 2.

That yardage! 😳
Immediately followed by a ~280 yard par 3 as well!
Caught a downwind day on this hole once and watched a fellow teaching pro friend of mine nearly hit the green in two going driver driver – just barely came up short. Back then he swung it around 130-135.
It looks like there are at least large landing zones so you can really swing for the fences.

Can you take a shortcut and play down the other fairway on the left? Or is it internal OB?
Miss playing Colorado irl. Had a PB bomb over 380
once in just ideal conditions. Slightly elevated teebox with a tailwind and good roll out. Scenic muni golf is something else.
Curious how the elevation affects the driving distance. What’s your “regular” drive vs the distance you’d get here? Either way, this hole looks like a bad mama jama
Birdied this hole. Wasn’t playing from the tips. Course is not that great TBH. way too expensive for what you get.
Bros hitting a 330yd driver but going with a 9 from 136??
Hit the 3 wood 300 yards. Calm down, homie…Jesus
