Veteran golf producer Mark Loomis is in discussions to begin working on LIV Golf broadcasts in 2026 alongside EverWonder Studio, according to sources familiar with the matter. Puck reported recently that LIV was hiring EverWonder to assist in producing its tournaments. Now, as part of that, Loomis also has been in talks to work on LIV broadcasts.
Loomis has worked in golf for decades across most of the major networks. He was behind the move to put Paul Azinger and Nick Faldo in the booth together for ABC/ESPN in 2005, a popular pairing. He was hired by Fox Sports when it took over USGA rights and implemented things like hole microphones and drone coverage.
Loomis is also producing next week’s Golf Channel Games, the team competition featuring Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and other PGA Tour players. That broadcast, on Dec. 17, is being put on in concert with PGA Tour Studios, as well as EverWonder.
Over its first four seasons, LIV has produced everything in house, including last year when the league made its debut on Fox Sports.
Meanwhile, on the talent side, sources said Pat Perez, the former LIV player who shifted into a broadcast role in 2025, is not expected to return in 2026. Perez, who turns 50 in March, has said publicly that he wanted to play on the PGA Tour Champions eventually.
It’s unclear what level of discipline Perez, a former PGA Tour member, would face from the tour, but it’s likely he would still be suspended at least a year for broadcasting LIV should he seek reinstatement. His final LIV tournament as an announcer was in August.
