Best Golf Course Koh Samui Thailand

Okay, look at how big this ridge is. Oh, scoring has been terrible today. Too far. That was a big branch. Holy smokes. It’s a very weird hole. It’s super narrow down there. [Music] Okay, we’re on the way to Centurbury Golf Club. We’re heading from my hotel, Anentara Hotel. Uh we’ve been staying there the last few days, but our tea off time is at 2:00 p.m. today. I’m excited to play this course. They’ve played a lot of Thai uh pro events here in the past, and I heard it’s very difficult. It’s not a very wide fairway off the teeny shots. The greens are very difficult. So, it’ll be the first time I play it, so we’ll see how I shoot. It’ll just be a standard 18hole round. Uh, when I arrive, I will just kind of give you guys a short tour of what the facility looks like uh before we head to the first team. So, we just arrived to the front. Uh, now we’re just about to check in. We might hit a few putts. Uh, maybe some shots to warm up a little bit. Uh, maybe prepare some drinks as well cuz it’s quite hot. Thank you, Okay, so we’re starting on hole one, 434 yds, par five. Pretty short, but I didn’t actually end up hitting any balls, so I was feeling pretty tight off this T-OT. And hit a little bit of a fade, so it was okay. Not the best T-shot. Now, my second shot here. I hit this way too short. I think I hit it a little bit behind. Chunked it a bit. And just a standard chip onto the green. Hopefully trying to make par or birdie. That’s it. Ooh, fast. All right. All right. So, second hole, 350 yds, elevated T- box, hit a five iron down there, pretty much in the center of the fairway. And then for my second shot, I wanted to hit this knockdown. Landed in the middle of the green, but ended up being long. So, I had this green side chip uh chipped it fairly okay near the hole. I actually forgot to record the chip. So, that was my bad, guys. Yay. But I made it for par, thankfully. Shout out to my caddy as well. She really helped me film all these shots. So, if it wasn’t for her, it’d be really hard for me to record and play and keep keep on pace and everything like that. So, I appreciate it a lot. So, this bunker shot, I left it short in the uh front bunker and so I had like a 30 40 yard bunker shot here. A bit long. So, it’s looking quite messy so far. [Music] All be good. Good one. Okay, so hole five. Now, this was a little bit of a a weird T-shot, but my goal was to fade it maybe just left of that little tree on the side of the hill, but I thought I overfed it. So, I was thinking that was gone, but ended up being right side fairway and then just little punch wedge over the green again. So, just trying to get it up and down. [Music] Stop, stop, stop, stop. At this point, I’m thinking I’m giving myself a lot of pressure with these mid-length putts. But so far, because I’ve been making some good par putts, my my my putting seems pretty good. So now a very downhill par three. Probably like almost two clubs less I took here. I hit a gap wedge, soft gap wedge, and ended up being okay. I’ve got this putt. Break, break, break, break. Try and make one back, but didn’t break. So, just a standard par. So, hole seven. Pretty straightaway hole here, but my goal was to just hit it down the left side of the fairway. Hit a five iron off the T. And then I just have a little wedge shot here. I mean, I thought this was going to be an easy shot, but I ended up uh thought I hit it okay direction-wise, but it was quite short distance control-wise, so I was a bit disappointed. So, came up a little short. This is kind of where he hit from. Beautiful approach. Okay, up the slope. Let’s see. Stop, stop, stop, stop. Ah, a little long. [Music] Okay. Okay, bit of a tough angle into this flag. We got 60 60 yards. So, for my second shot here, you can see the pin was tucked at the back. So, I was trying to play this off to the right, maybe just a bit short, but ended up pulling it left. Now I got this delicate chip shot which I ended up doing pretty good. This is the tap and par. So I’m playing pretty steady at this point. So hole nine, par five. I’m trying to make a birdie here. So it’s a bit of a dog leg right. So my goal here is just hit it over the right side of those trees. And I thought I hit a pretty good T-ot pretty much where I was trying to aim. Should be pretty good. And the green is basically on the other side of these trees right in front of me. So I’m trying to play a draw around that tree. Is drawing a little bit but ended up being a bit short and to the right as well. Okay, so hole 10 was actually the weirdest T-shot. I didn’t even know where the hole was. It was dug like to the left, but it looked like there was like two, three tiers of fairway. So, I just saw an opening on the right side. Didn’t try to play aggressive. So, my ball’s right there. So, there’s like a very It’s a very weird hole. It’s super narrow down there. I didn’t know I had to hit it way up here the distance, but I’m glad I didn’t hit driver cuz it’s super super narrow up there. Okay, so it’s 160. It’s really uphill. There’s a bit of breeze inside or into my face. So, I’m going to hit like an easy seven. That’s got to sit. That’s a flyer lie. Okay, I I saw it land. All right. So, up on this green there is a mountain. Look at how big this ridge is. So, my ball’s just at the back. Just back green right there. Guess it was a bit of a flyer. So, this is a massive downhill slope. So, I got to really be careful. But, at the same time, I don’t want to leave it up top. So, I’m going to try my best to chip it and get it to trickle. But, no matter what happens here, I’m probably going to end up over here. Oh, that’s probably as best I could do. Sit. Yeah. I have no chance. Okay. [Music] Ah. So hole 11 dog leg left. So was just trying to play it over the right side of those trees on the left. [Music] So we got 97 yards. I’m just trying to play this low one hop stop shot. Hopefully you want to land at the middle a little bit right. [Music] Oh far. [Music] Okay. [Music] Cut little left, but I think Okay. Wow. So, we got this branch block in the way. Got to get out and move it. We should move it over. Should we move it here? This side. Uh, hold on. Wait, wait. Okay, so we managed to move that and bit of a nuisance, but uh that was a big branch. Holy smokes. Actually, someone could have got really injured. Sit. God damn it. [Music] Oh, my scoring has been terrible today. I just can’t get the distances of my gloves very well. I’m in prime position a lot, but this last shot I hit the ball off the green. I’ll show you guys in a second. But yeah, I’ve been struggling a little bit to get the right distance. I’ve been leaving myself long putts or chips unnecessarily, but I’m not hitting it terrible. [Music] Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Okay. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] There we go. Oh my god, it’s so bad. [Music] [Music] Ah. [Music] Watch out. Watch out. [Music] All right, 78 yards. Let’s just Come on. Just nail this distance down here. All right, let’s commit to a swing. [Music] Stop. Stop. Okay, I got a bird chance. Come on. [Music] God, why can’t I hit it? [Music] [Music] Okay, just so you can see, we came from over there. It goes way down. There’s like three stories here. It goes down all the way back down there, goes up and then back to the right, like way down to the left um around those trees. But my ball um I think is right over here. So, I’ve got about 200 yards to the flag. Just basically right over these trees here. Can’t really see the green, but I’m going to try to go for it. Why not? [Music] Stop. Stop. Stop. Okay. [Music] Feel the club. Good. Okay. Little tap in. Nice. Okay. Good finish. Okay, guys. So, I just got done 18 holes. It wasn’t an easy 18 holes. There. It’s very very undulating. So, I just learned for with this course, you actually got to be good with your distance control because you’re hitting into the green that’s like really uphill or into a par three that’s very very downhill. So, you got to go like one or two clubs extra all the time. And if it’s windy, even more difficult to judge the club. That’s what I find was the the hardest part about this course. So, unfortunately, today my distance control wasn’t the greatest, but I managed to get around um and finish pretty strong. I enjoyed this course quite a lot. I hope to play this course again in the future, maybe when I visit Kosaboyu again. But uh hope you guys enjoyed and see you guys next time.
