New app introduces athletic-based training, mobility assessments, and a measurable Golf Fitness Handicap designed for everyday golfers
York, England — DRVN Golf announces the launch of its performance training app built to help golfers train with purpose and move with strength so they can play golf better and longer. While the program has been used by a loyal base of golfers, this marks DRVN’s first formal introduction to media and the industry.
Founded by PGA Professional turned golf fitness expert Michael Dennington in York, England, DRVN brings an athletic performance approach to golf fitness. The system gives golfers individualized programming that supports performance on the course as well as long-term health. DRVN’s mission for its members is simple: Inspire health and fitness through golf that improves performance on and off the course.
Key features include:
Individualized strength, mobility workouts and structured range practice
• Movement and mobility assessments
• Fitness tracks including golf-specific, strength & muscle building, and cardio & circuit training.
• A proprietary ‘Golf Fitness Handicap’ that tracks fitness and mobility similar to a golf handicap
• Warm-ups, recovery routines, and complete training pathways
“Golfers deserve training built around how the body moves, not what equipment they buy,” said Michael Dennington, founder of DRVN Golf. “DRVN brings structure, support and measurable progress to players who want to feel stronger and perform better. The goal is to give every golfer the tools to stay healthy, feel good and play golf for a long time.”

How it started:
Michael developed DRVN after years of organically posting training content and receiving steady requests for more. He responded by distributing PDF’s as ‘GolfWOD,’ which quickly attracted a cult following. The demand confirmed a clear need: Golfers wanted a weight room training system that supported real improvement, not a trend or a quick fix. Michael expanded the programming, refined the methodology, and introduced the DRVN Golf & Fitness app as the next evolution of that work.
What’s sets DRVN apart:
Built by a PGA Professional with experience in golf instruction and fitness
• Structured like athletic training, not entertainment or trends
• Training all players like athletes, from new golfers to advanced players
• Progress tracking that shows real physical change
• Focus on strength, mobility, performance, and long-term health
Future Plans:
DRVN’s vision extends beyond the app. DRVN is developing a comprehensive golf fitness credential for golf instructorsand fitness professionals. The program will cover movement screening, strength and mobility principles, injury risk patterns, program design, and practical tools for training golfers.
The certification is designed to support career growth and help both groups deliver stronger and healthier outcomes for their players. Full details will follow in a separate announcement.
DRVN Golf exists to make fitness an essential part of golf culture by supporting every golfer to train with purpose, feel stronger and play longer.
