when did you realize that that show was something special about the third episode I think why is that then you know in the first couple of episodes for the pilot and then the first episode you’re so much concerned with what you’re doing that I hadn’t really had a chance to think about the show and in terms of any kind of future yes but I remember that’s also the episode when I first called him a dumbass and it got a huge re action I thought these people really like the show the audiences that we were playing for yes and so I just had a feeling it was going to go what’s your favorite that’s 70s Show moment favorite line what do you there were so you know I the the I think probably the thing I mentioned because that became such a classic line and that I’m still living with today you know I have people come up to me all the time and ask me to call him a dumbass so

You know your good at what you do when after a decade off the show you have people that WANT you to call them a dumbass, yet coming from any other person and it's fighting words lol….
The reason bad things happen to me is bcoz I'm a dumbass👍👽🌵
Everyone's dad from 1969 to 2010 lol 😂❤
I'd also like to hear more about The Cosby Show.
Kurtwood was a doctor in a movie called girl interrupted
Red and Kitty were the best characters on the show 100%
That's 70s was the greatest show ever… Until Eric left then it just sucked
Red was the dad we all feared and secretly wanted.
You knew were you stood and knew that in a real pinch he would be there.
Liked him in this show, hated his character in Robo Cop.
That's Terrance Boddiker. He is a sly one.
The show was good but not good enough to compensate for the horror happening during the making of the show.
You didn’t eat the fish did you
My favourite character ❤
"Hold on everybody. Mr. Nude has an opinion. I'm sure we're all interested in what Mr. Nude has to say. Floor's all yours….. Mr. Nude."
I have people come up to me all the time and ask to call them a dumbass. Imagine that being your life. 😂😂😂
He's a cop killer.
Theres sooooo many things i would want to ask him about, or sign, or whatever. From Robocop, 70s show, Star Trek various roles, i just wouldnt know what to start with.
Red was the best parent character on the show, because he was the representation of a real fully mature adult.
When you’re mature & responsible for others being nice is often an expensive luxury, especially when surrounded by overgrown children.
Considering the 💩 he had to deal with they were lucky he wasn’t backhanding anyone within range.
My favourite line is, "If I was a bird, I'd fly into the ceiling fan. 😂
the world was ready for rubbish, and thats what it got.
“Son, you don’t have bad luck. The reason bad things happen to you, is because you’re a dumbass.”
My father in law looks exactly like Red Foreman, and thinks he’s an American icon even more than Archie Bunker.
"those are my shoes from last night." Was a great parenting moment
watching the robocop badguy act like a robocop badguy in that 70s show just felt right lol.
I still remember him from Robocop, "Can you fly Bobby?"
Red pretty much adopting Hyde was always one of my favorite moments ❤
One of the reasons why this show was so successful was the accuracy to what it was like living in the 70s. My father told me when we used to watch the show back when I was a little boy when it first came out that it reminded him so much of what it was like when he was a kid. He was from Gary Indiana in an area of his hometown it was no different than what it was like in his hometown when he was young. It's amazing to think of this one thing too the generation before mine or my parents generation not Gen X cuz my parents are boomers but the way which they look at the 70s is the same way my generation to millennials look at the 90s
It was the greatest era of time I've ever experienced in life it may have been the first period of time I experienced but it still was the greatest
I mean to me he's still one of the best tv dads just not to his own son
I still watch it a few times a week…
Its 2025 and still the funniest sitcom
I think Laura Prepon had a lot to do with it.
Ok I never liked that show mainly because it wasn't remotely like the 70s.
If it had been you would have seen band shirts for ELO , STYX, BOSTON, PETER FRAMPTON, PINK FLOYD as well as having mentions of iconic movies like GREASE, and SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER.
The Midnight Special was all the rage as was James Browns Future Shock, Ginsu Knives, smokeless ashtrays, Welcome Back Kotter, Kojak, Rockford Files, and STAR WARS.
The show was weak and never brought the 70s to the screen. Hell THE BRADYS did as well as The Mod Squad, Baretta, Barney Miller, etc.
Grew up watching it with my mom. Well always be nostalgic. One of the FEW if not the only live audience sitcoms i will watch. Not cringey at all like 2.5 men, or the god awful big bang theory and others.
He did a great episode in Star Trek Voyager.
Not hearing him constantly angry is odd
The spinning kitchen wall when the kids were baked was a great practical effect.
From playing one of the most iconic villains of all time to playing one the best tv dads of all time. Mr Smith has had one hell of a career.
ALL HAIL WHIPPED CREAM HEAD!
My favorite Red line is: "You morons just hang vacancy signs on your asses and my foot's looking for a room"
Ever since I first saw Robocop, Kurtwood hasn't changed much in look at all, it's weird to me.
Red Foreman becomes Clarence Boddiker after his kid moves out.. he leave his wife and gets a new name… then he met Dick Jones
