Kai Trump, the 18-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump, is firmly in the spotlight this Thursday.
It was revealed in October that Kai Trump would make her LPGA debut during The Annika at Pelican Golf Club on Nov. 13. The University of Miami commit received a sponsor exemption for this event.

“My dream has been to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour,” Kai Trump said in a release. “This event will be an incredible experience. I look forward meeting and competing against so many of my heroes and mentors in golf as I make my LPGA Tour debut.”
There was plenty of controversy surrounding Kai’s eligibility for this event, especially since she’s ranked 461st in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.
Kai Trump struggled earlier this year, finishing 52-over at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley. She then shot 11-over during a South Florida PGA event at Lost City Golf Club.

Will the president be in attendance?
Prior to the start of Thursday’s tournament, Kai Trump revealed that her granddaughter won’t be in the gallery at Pelican Golf Club.
“He’s not coming this weekend,” Kai said, via GolfDigest. “He’s running the world right now, so he’s a little busy. To me, he’s just a normal grandpa. Always has been. I would just say it’s like having a normal grandpa. There is nothing different I would say. It’s pretty cool, obviously, but to me it’s just normal.”

President Trump is just four days removed from visiting Northwest Stadium to watch the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders play. He conducted an interview with FOX’s Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma during the second half.
We’ll see if President Trump comments on his granddaughter’s LPGA debut.
