The Australian Open will come to a conclusion on Sunday at Royal Melbourne.
With 18 holes remaining, home favourite Cameron Smith has teed up a glorious chance to end a largely forgettable 2025 season on a high.
Cameron Smith fired a third-round 66 to trail leader, Denmark’s Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, by two strokes.
South Korea’s Si Woo Kim, Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz and Smith’s compatriots, Adam Scott and Min Woo Lee, are also in contention here.
Masters champion Rory McIlroy has been the biggest attraction all week but is nine shots off the lead.

McIlroy admitted after his third round – which included a bizarre incident with a banana peel – that he is too far adrift of the lead now to mount a challenge.
It was the second strange incident this week to involve McIlroy, with the golfer player and missing at his ball during Friday’s round.
McIlroy said it was “not one of the finer moments” of his career.
The Northern Irishman, 36, currently sits in joint 24th place.
The final round of the Australian Open begins at 7:09am local time (20:09 GMT on Saturday).

McIlroy is off early with alongside America’s Matt McCarty and Italy’s Stefano Mazzoli.
The final group of Smith, Kim and Petersen will tee off at 11:50am.
