(NatGeo voice) Out on the windswept savannah of Public Course #12, three adult males wander the fairway, each heavily seasoned with Fireball whiskey — nature’s least subtle spice. Watch closely as they migrate toward the distant green, pausing every few steps to passionately over-explain the catastrophic mechanics of their previous shots. Though none of their balls traveled in anything resembling a straight line, each insists, with great scholarly certainty, that their disastrous trajectories were ‘just a little on the toe’

I’ve almost hit one as it was going through a tree. It was going after it like it was prey lol. I had a picture of the one I almost hit but couldn’t find it.
I worked maintenance at a course in Colorado years ago. There was a hole on the edge of the property, on the opposite side was an unkept field with tall grass. There was tons of foxes on the course, never really saw them past 9-10am, but 6-8am, they were all over. We had a group of 12 guys, who we called the “Dirty Dozen” that would play at the crack of dawn almost every M-F. On that hole on the edge of property, they would hit 4-6 drives with colored balls. Once they hit those, they’d wait like 60 seconds, and without question, a group of foxes would come and snatch the balls, and take them immediately to the bunkers on the hole by the green where they buried them. The “Dirty Dozen” would then wait until they were finished, and then continue to play with their normal white balls.
This happened almost daily, it was a beautiful sight.
