As America will look to upset Europe at Adare Manor in Ireland in 2027, people are scrambling to know who will be the captain of the Ryder Cup team.

The PGA of America has said they won’t be announcing a captain any time this year, with a spokesperson telling Golf Channel that it will “identify the 2027 U.S. Ryder Cup captain by the first quarter of next year.”

Keegan Bradley allowed Europe to take home the crown on away soil for the first time in over a decade, and now people are dying to know who will lead the team in 2027.

Bradley, who said the loss impacted him, then added his career hasn’t been the same since leaving Bethpage.

“I have this like gaping hole in my career now that I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to fill,” said Bradley ahead of the Hero World Challenge.

“This isn’t something that you lose the Masters, you lose a tournament, I’m going to work extra hard to get back and win. Being the captain of the Ryder Cup team is not something you can work hard for, it’s just something that’s sort of elected on you.”

Bradley added that it was the worst time of his life when America couldn’t come up with the trophy.

“I mean, the darkest time of my life probably,” he said. “I mean, I don’t know how else to describe it. Certainly, definitely of my career. There’s always this letdown after a Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup regardless of the outcome because the emotions are so extreme.

“It’s a Ryder Cup hangover and you’re just exhausted and you’re down, you know. That takes a toll on you. But there’s just, it just was, it just was a tough time. Still is.”

Even though Bradley faced tons of backlash about his decision-making, he said he’d be happy to do it again.

“Of course, I would love to do it again,” he said before mentioning that golf legend Tiger Woods could take it easily. “I would love to avenge that loss, but that’s not up to me.”

“I think if Tiger wants to do this, he’s going to do it. Tiger is not only a hero to all of us that would be on his team, but he’s also an incredible leader and a person that everyone would love to play for. But I’m pretty sure when he wants to do this, he’s going to be able to do it.”

Woods, however, said that he’s heard nothing about being captain of the biennial event.

“No one’s asked me,” the 49-year-old laughed. There is no confirmation whether the PGA of America reached out to Woods about the position.
