struggling with shoulder pain just building stronger deltoids is not the answer in fact exercises like lateral raises often cause pain for many with shoulder injuries let me show you a better way I recently worked with aew pro wrestler Brian Cage who had been dealing with shoulder pain for some time during my testing here’s how far I could raise his arm before symptoms I also found he was very weak with both of these tests so he needed to Prime his rotator cuff to better stabilize the shoulder so the joint didn’t roll excessively L into an internally rotated and aggravating symptom-provoking position we started with an external rotation raise holding for 5 seconds in this elevated position and followed it with another rotational drill in this lateral position again for a 5sec hold with retesting after he could now move his arm all the way overhead without pain and his lateral raises felt stronger with significantly less symptoms showing he was now on the right track

  3. I'm in PT for shoulder pain, and these exact moves you've given him are what cause the worst of my shoulder pain. I have tendonitis from a down-sloping acromium that leads to impingement. I experience pain all around and down my arm bone, but feel the pain on the side that the over-extension is occurringin the moment. In any direction though sssighh.

  5. Struggling with shoulder pain may be that he's never given his shoulder a rest or break. I have injured my shoulder a few times in trying to do too much. Here is the secret, don't stop exercise, just go down on weight and do high reps until your shoulder is back to normal. Never required a Dr.
