FAYETTEVILLE — People can get into the holiday spirit Sunday during the Fayetteville Disc Golf Association’s fifth annual NWA Disc Exchange.
The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place at 10 a.m. Sunday at Northshore on Lake Fayetteville, according to a news release from the the association.
The morning will kick off with a holiday-style disc exchange in which participants bring a wrapped disc, form a large circle and pass discs left or right as a story is read aloud, the release states. When the story ends, each person unwraps whichever disc they’re holding.
After the exchange, attendees will play a casual fun round of disc golf. The event will wrap up with a giveaway of roughly 100 additional discs, which organizer Andrew McDonagh gathers throughout the year.
“This is one of the most community-driven events we host,” McDonagh said. “It’s all about bringing people together and celebrating the sport we love.”
