Tom Sloman successfully defended his title and has won the 17th edition of the King Hamad Trophy at the Royal Golf Club, Bahrain.
Victory for the Englishman also secures his place in the US$2.75 million Bahrain Championship on the DP World Tour from January 29th – February 1st.
A winner in 2022 and 2024, Sloman delivered steady form across all three rounds and finished at 13 under par after rounds of 69, 67 and 67.
Irish amateur Aodhagan Brady finished second on 11 under par, while French professional Joel Stalter took third place on 9 under par.
The championship is organised by the Bahrain Golf Association, which established the King Hamad Trophy in 2007 to give golfers in Bahrain access to a high-level international event. Professionals and amateurs from around the world travel to The Royal Golf Club each year to compete for the trophy.
Congratulations as well to Ahmed Alzayed, who finished as the leading Bahraini and also earned his place in the 2026 Bahrain Championship.
The championship is held annually with the support of Beyon Bahrain, which has sponsored the event for 17 consecutive years since its launch in 2007. Additional support comes from national companies sponsoring individual holes, including Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), Foulath Holding, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Bahrain Jewellery Centre, Khaleeji Bank, Kingdom Group, Crown Industries, Bapco Energies, Al Sharif Group, the Economic Development Board, Bahrain Scrapmould, APM Terminals, and Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC). Their continued backing has supported the championship’s development and contributed to the growth of golf in the Kingdom.
