You know you’re never far away from an all-time quote when the President is talking ball…
Donald Trump is the gift that keeps on giving.
(For clarification – we are talking purely on golfing terms here. Take the other stuff to Today’s Politician.)
Most recently, we were treated to a clip of 45-47 holing a walk-off chip-in during a round with five-time major champ Brooks Koepka, NHL GOAT Wayne Gretzky, and Fox News host Bret Baier.

The President is never more than a few sentences from boasting about his prowess on the links.
And that was once again the case while addressing members of the US military during a recent video call.
In Trump’s defence – three words you don’t hear every day – he was asked about his game by one of his audience.
“I got to be right around scratch or better,” the 79-year-old replied.
“I beat a plus-three. That’s three below par. So I’m a good golfer. I know a lot about golf. I’ve won 38 golf championships and I don’t get to practice very much.”
Earlier this year, Trump posted on social media that he had successfully defended his club championship crown at his West Palm Beach resort in Florida.
“Club championships are our majors,” he added, before reiterating for those in the back: “I’ve won 38 of them.”
Step aside Jack and Tiger, there’s a new sheriff in town.
Then, his third eyebrow-raising claim in as many sentences.
“Every one of them,” he said, was won “legitimately”.
He added: “It has to be legitimate because you have a lot of people following you with club championships.”
Which sounds exactly like something someone who won those tournaments in less-than-legitimate ways might say.
Of course, the 38-time major champion is no stranger to being accused of cheating on the golf course. There was even a whole book written about it.
For those keeping track, since returning to the Oval Office, Trump has now spent 79 days on the golf course. More than 11 weeks. Out of 45. A entire quarter of his second term.
But, remember, he doesn’t get to practice very much.
