Rahm & Hatton Still Await LIV Appeal Verdict 😱⛳ | DP World Tour Set for April Decision

⛳ The future of Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton on the DP World Tour is hanging in the balance…

In this video, we go inside the latest on the ongoing appeal involving Rahm and Hatton, who are still waiting to hear the verdict on the sanctions handed down by the DP World Tour for competing in LIV Golf events. 😮🔥

After joining LIV Golf in 2024, both Rahm and Hatton chose to remain DP World Tour members so they could qualify for the Ryder Cup — and it paid off, helping Team Europe secure victory at Bethpage Black.
But now that the Ryder Cup is over, the focus returns to their LIV-related penalties.

The DP World Tour has been silent on the process… until now.

Golf pro Eddie Pepperell has revealed new insider information on The Chipping Forecast podcast, suggesting that the appeal is expected to be heard by April — a decision that could determine whether Rahm, Hatton, David Puig, and other LIV members will be banned from the DP World Tour moving forward. 😳

Rahm has already said he won’t pay any fines, and even admitted he had “forgotten” the appeal was still ongoing.

Will this ruling reshape European golf? Could Rahm and Hatton be sidelined from future DP World Tour events? And how will this impact the LIV–DP World Tour relationship going into 2025 and beyond?

Watch the full breakdown now to get all the inside details, implications, and what this means for golf’s biggest stars.

John Rom and Trell Hatton are still awaiting the outcome of their appeal against the DP World Tour’s decision to sanction them for competing in LIIV golf events. Rahm and Hatton were among the highest profile European stars to join the LIIV Golf League in 2024 following the path taken by Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, and Henrik Stenson. Unlike their predecessors, many of whom resigned their DP World Tour memberships in response to fines and suspensions, Rom and Hatton chose to retain their membership. Their decision was strategic. Remaining on the DP World Tour roster ensured they were eligible for the Ryder Cup at Beth Paige Black, where both players secured spots on Luke Donald’s European team and contributed to the victory. Now that the Ryder Cup is behind them, attention has shifted back to their unresolved case. The DP World Tour has offered no public updates on the appeal or its timeline, but fellow tour professional Eddie Pepper recently provided fresh insight. Speaking on the Chipping Forecast podcast, Pepper revealed he had heard indications that the appeal may finally be heard in April. I’ve heard rumors that the case is going to be heard by April, the one involving Rom Hatton and all these guys, Prol said. So by the end of April, the tour may have some clarity. And if the ruling goes in the tour’s favor, as it did previously, then it’s very likely these guys won’t be playing on the DP World Tour for much longer. The implications extend far beyond ROM and Hatton. Several LIV golfers still hold DP World Tour memberships, including David Pig, who recently won the BMW Australian PGA Championship. Rahm, however, has made his position clear. Speaking at Wentworth in September, the former world number one admitted he had no intention of paying any fines and confessed he’d practically forgotten the appeal was even ongoing.
