HUNTSVILLE – Sam Houston women’s golf made a pair of additions to its roster for the next season with Jordyn Herridge and Pureun Kim.  

“I am excited we were able to add two great players to our team,” Bearkat head women’s coach Lake Leroux said. “Each bring strengths to our program, strengthening our team as we continue to compete at the highest level.”   

Pureun Kim 

Kim joins the Kats as a freshman from Germany, where she put together a strong resume as a junior golfer. She placed fourth at the 2025 German Championship, finishing at one under par after rounds of 69-74-70-74. She also finished as runner-up at GJG Grand Final Qualifier, shooting 71-73-72 (+4) and was runner-up in the 2024 GolfData24 Open with 69-72-75 (-3) playing for Golfclub Stolper Heide in Berlin, Germany.

Jordyn Herridge  

Herridge joins the team from Montgomery, Texas where she played for Montgomery High School. She finished seventh at PT-Girls Jr. PGA Championship #2, shooting 76-75 (+7 and won the 2024 Junior Tour-TAMU with a round of 72. Herridge also won the 2023 Junior Tour – Pebble Creek with a round of 73.
