It’s common to see the wear pattern on irons, but I’ve never really see how precisely worn down the middle of a face could be…

That’s best-in-the-world ball striking. Literally. Doesn’t get tighter than that.

Also Google Tiger’s 8-iron from the 2000s. Heavy wear but smaller than a dime

  2. Yeah I’m just going to place my bet now that he wins the Grand Slam in 2026. Insanity

    Definition of consistency in golf!

I wonder if that’s happening because of the carbon fiber face, in addition to ridiculously amazing ball striking?

I thought it was just the design of the club at first, that’s how intentional it looks lol

  5. Cosmicfool13

Sure, but I get more for my money by using all the face.

If you can’t do this, maybe you need a $1000/hr golf coach and 6-8 hours of practice every day for the next 20 years.

Man, golf would be so boring if I used so little of the face like that s/

For him, “toeing it” probably means 1 or 2 of those cells in the graphic

  9. I played with a guy who had a pro’s driver from when they were in college. It looked just like this.

The dude using it probably rarely found the center of that club face, but man – he looked like a total badass carrying that around

It’s crazy to think how many thousands of balls you have to hit to get the club to show a wear mark, and for it to be absolutely centered like that is crazy.

It’s especially crazy to think about someone like Scotty having this level of precision when his feet aren’t even planted on the ground

My sweet spot involves the very top of the club face🤣
I find it helps get the ball up off the ground.
The other sweet spot is off the bottom on the face – that gives me to low wind cheater!!

Good lord, that’s like a pro level/#1 in the world type wear…..

Stuff like this makes me wonder if shrinking the heads would really be a suitable alternative to a ball rollback.

Mannn… there’s no way that bitch ain’t cracked after a few months 🤯 holy ballstriking, Batman

Can’t wait to see these new QIs with the TM cracks

  15. SeeDub23

The sweet spot is actually just north of that- on all the modern drivers I’ve used at least. Silly Scottie

  16. With all that crazy footwork. He truly is amazing

I clean my driver after every hit. Unless I middle one and then I’ll leave the ball mark on it and somehow forget to put the cover on between drives.

What did you expect? Literally best in the world.

After years as members, we’ve watched Trump Westchester Golf Club standards collapse. The final straw? My daughter’s junior golf bag vanished from their own bag room — and management’s response was to quote fine print instead of taking responsibility. PS – not the first time bag has gone “missing”.

They blamed policy instead of fixing the problem. White glove service turned into “get to the back of the line”. That’s the culture now: excuses over accountability. Between reduced amenities (that you already pay for), poor course conditions most of the season, lack of communication, and a tone-deaf leadership team, it’s clear this isn’t the same club it once was. We’ve since left — and we’re not alone. The GM is a NIGHTMARE. Golf Pro Sucks!
