Micro is on the air. Ladies and gentlemen, we’re live in
Chicago and you are looking live at the entranceway, the rear entranceway,
the stage area of the United center here tonight where a black limousine obviously
has rolled in and we’re not sure. Now we are. Who’s coming out the limousine? Hollywood Hogan, the Disciple. We show up with all smiles at Ms.
Elizabeth as we are off and literally rolling for
three hours here on TNT. And you know,
you try to read into what they’re smiling, what’s going on in their mind. And I can tell you, I don’t know. Living legend. I’ll tell you what they’re
not smiling about. They’re not smiling about the fact that
Hollywood Hogan is not walking out wearing that gold. It is around the waist of the undisputed
Heavyweight champion for wcw, Goldberg. And that’s all they’re not smiling about. Mike. Well, Bischoff and company look pretty
cocky and confident as they make their way through the backstage area
here at the United center and emerge in front of this capacity
crowd on hand here in Chicago. I don’t think they’re too
happy about last week’s re emergence of the Warrior who
promised that beginning tonight he was going to launch a revolution
in World Championship Wrestling. So they walk into the sold out
venue at the United center in the midst of this revolution, as you talked about by Tanay decreed
by the Warrior one week ago. And what a program we do have for you. The revolution as stated
by the Warrior is on. It’s starting here tonight. And also as we mentioned all this week,
we’re gonna hear from interim Commissioner Rowdy Roddy Piper
here tonight. What he’s gonna talk
about we have no idea. But need Piper is going to
say something profound will have a definite impact on what’s
going down in the fall months. I tell you what, when I’ve never seen
Hollywood Hogan’s jaw go down so. >> Speaker 2: Fast as when
the Warrior appeared in. >> Speaker 1: His face last week. Yeah, the look of shock on

in the same program talking about his surprise his teammate for War Games. And we had put two and
two together as ref makes his return. As you can see here on Monday, Nitro thinking that the Warrior would
team with diamond down at the mage. Well, that’s not been confirmed yet

the very first time ever plus, the winner of the WarGames is in line for

ever on WCW Monday Nitro. That was a great counter move. That time he just ducked low and also drove the shoulder into
the midsection of Malenko. Here comes Dean Malenko,
the Iceman up top. Thrown off by Hayashi and
try moonsault, but Malenko’s knees up in the nick of time. And look at this. Comes right back. Roll up, Mahi Strahl Cradle. >> Speaker 1: No, only two. >> Speaker 1: He almost beat him again,
and this young man again, very impressive on Nitro. Rising to the occasion here on this
capacity crowd on this live telecast. Getting aggressive you may

to launch a revolution. But the boss, Eric Bischoff,
may have something to say about that. Also Goldberg to join
forces with Kevin Nash. It’s going to be WCW and
the NWO against Hollywood, Hogan and that big main event joining the Giant. It’s all a part of Nitro. We’re live from Chicago on tnt. >> Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen,
we’re back live in Chicago. WCW Monday Nitro for
the second hour, kicking off. Still to come in this telecast,
as you know, Goldberg and Kevin Nash. Will be a team against
the Giant in Hollywood Hogan. But without further ado,
let us bring in the man who is the leader of
Team WCW at War Games, the one, the only, Diamond Dallas Page. >> Speaker 2: Well, we’re going to set
the record straight once and for all. He’s not only the people’s champion,
he’s also the captain, the leader of Team WCW at Ball Brawl, the
War Games on Pay per view, September 13th. And we have so many questions to be
answered about the formation of Team wcw. And there’s the captain,
ddp Diamond Dallas Page. Everywhere that he goes around
the United center, the fans greet ddp. Now he’s in the crowd, making his way to the ring for this interview with Tony Schiavone. >> Speaker 1: All right,
Diamond Dallas Page, the fans cheer you on. It was one week ago on this program,
you talked about the surprise. You talked about the man coming
out a member of Team wcw. But since that time, we all know
that Eric Bischoff is in charge. As Hollywood Hogan said,
he’s a man with the pen. And based on all of that, he’s kind of
painted you and Team WCW into a corner. >> Speaker 3: I don’t
know about anybody here, but as far as I’m concerned, that little squirm of a worm, Sleazy E is a fool in that little pen. Bischoff, you were bouncing
around behind Hollywood. Well, I’d like to stick this
pen right in your right ear, squish it right through your left. And as far as the other fool,
Hollywood scum, by manipulating the field, you think you can manipulate me. And yeah, you have painted me in a corner. But Hogan, you can’t steal my heart. There is no way I won’t be at War Games. There’s no way I won’t be at Fall Brawl. And you’re right,
I’m back into it right now. And I ain’t the kind of guy that
does real well at asking for help. But if there’s somebody out
there that wants to step up to the plate, well, then, I welcome them. Like I said, step up to the point. >> Speaker 1: Boy. >> Speaker 4: In all his rowdiness,

Hogan comes out here, I can’t tell which one’s Bill Clinton and which one’s Hillary or
which one has the dress. I say, this Diamond Dallas Page
has been working too hard. He needs two guys to join up with them. I myself say I will be the first

as Saturn mentioned on WCW Saturday Night, a fine wrestler,
a tag team champion at one time, Mike. >> Speaker 3: And while Riggs is not
involved in the matchup at Fall Brawl between Saturn and Raven. Well, I guess he is in a sense, isn’t he? >> Speaker 4: Yes, he is.
>> Speaker 3: Because if Saturn is successful and defeats Raven,
then the Flock is going to be set free. But on the other hand, should Raven
be successful and knock off Saturn, then Saturn has to not
only return to the flock- >> But be subservient to the boss. And to the ropes. Ducking, hilarious. >> Speaker 4: A great Dropkick by Riggs. And that put the big man down on his back. And a good move. >> Speaker 1: Riggs is a good athlete. He’s got ability. Too bad he can’t look in the mirror and

the members of the flock, they have all tried to imitate

up at Fall Brawl, I tell you, the flock’s gonna be a misguided. To be honest with you. You’d have. >> Speaker 1: A bunch of birds

trying to get back to his feet. A snapmare takeover here and

driving Mongo down to the mat. We saw earlier, we saw Dean Malenko, we talked about Malenko’s problems
that he’s had with one Kurt Hennigan. How Malenko and
Mongo have been on the same page. But that’s really been about all as
far as men coming to the forefront, wanting to regroup. >> Speaker 3: The Horsemen, well,
that’s been the extent of it. However, they did contact Arne Anderson. Double A said that he still has the fire,
and if it was his choice, he would still be a part of a horseman,
but he just no longer is physically
able to compete at that level. >> Speaker 1: He’s got the fire. He just doesn’t have the neck. >> Speaker 4: Look at that,
throwing the four Horsemen down. And that brought some boos out from this
sold out crowd here at the United Center. And that brings Mongo
also back as he rises up. A backhand chop that caught him
firmly in the solar plexus. And now as he rocks Riggs back,
Riggs comes back with an E and Riggs has come to fight here tonight. >> Speaker 1: Well, Mongo is gonna
have to start using his brain here. Again, Riggs isn’t bad. Mongo depends a lot on what
he depended on in football. Power and explosive, you know,
large, strong body, good balance. But here, you’re gonna have
to use some science here. And Riggs is no dummy. >> Speaker 3: Well, you two are under
the impression that if the flock is all of a sudden set free after Fall Brawl,
they’re gonna be in trouble. Who knows? Maybe that freedom is what
they need to turn them around. There’s some great athletes in The Flock. >> Speaker 4: Well, here’s my take on it. Mike as he missed the elbow. Had the flock wanted to be free,
they would have been free by now. I mean, they are what, five or six? >> Speaker 1: If you wanted to be free,
you wouldn’t join The Flock. >> Speaker 4: Well, that’s right. And Raven is one man. So I really think that this is a freedom. If they get it, here’s a cover 1, 2 that
they really maybe don’t want to have. And that’s just an observation. You Never know. We’ll see what happens on the 13th
of September in Winston Salem, North Carolina, at the Lawrence
Joe Veterans Memorial Coliseum. And only got pay-per-view. A knee made the midsection of Mongo. And give the man his credit. I mean, here comes Mongo back to his old
stomping ground at the United center in this great sports city. And the man is taking
the fight right to him. >> Speaker 2: The man being Riggs. But Mongo under the three point stance. >> Speaker 1: There’s that
explosiveness a big man has in Mongo. Over 300 pounds of him, but
doesn’t need to hit you too many times. One good one’s enough. >> Speaker 3: Shades of Soldier Field with
those two tackles, went for the Tombstone, but it was blocked by Riggs. >> Speaker 4: Back up against the ropes. And Riggs, after blocking it, follows
it up with a kick in the midsection. Mungo holds his ground. >> Speaker 2: Mungo picks him up. >> Speaker 3: Now he’s got him set for
the spike. >> Speaker 2: There it is,
the Mungo spike. One, two. This one’s over. >> Speaker 1: He does him so hard and
earrings popped out of his eye. >> Speaker 2: Watch out. We see it. You can see Horace with the stop sign,
Sick Boy with him. Mungo, he knocked him right out. SmackDown at Mongo. >> Speaker 1: Sign weighs like 30 pounds. >> Speaker 2: As cold as a wedge,
he’s down. These kicking and

the same moment for a long time. And Mungo wants to start it right now. The Mongo wants him to give the sign. But Malenko knows that he’s not

to stop Hollywood, Hogan, some has to stop the nwo. This, like you say, Tony,
could be their demise. >> Speaker 3: While the Warrior talks,
talked about Hogan being his mentor, his model, the fact that he tried to
emulate him at one point in his career, that’s no longer the case anymore. What could be the perfect
antidote to the nwo? Could it be the own? >> Speaker 1: It could be. And you know, we talk about power,
we talk about how things happen and how momentum builds. You see it in all sports and

we heard from the fans and we saw from the Warrior that the one
Warrior Nation is stronger than all that, is stronger than the pen of Eric Bishop. I believe that’s where

he says is his mentor. The greatest wrestler in the world. And I think you can definitely say, you may not agree with him being
the greatest wrestler in the world, but you gotta agree he is the most
influential wrestler in the world. If nothing else, because he’s got the man
with the pin by his side at all times. The man who’s in charge. Eric Bischoff in charge of the nwo. It’s hard to wto he in
the back pocket of Hollywood. >> Speaker 3: No question about that. But then in the same breath, Brett the Hitman Hart says that

the pieces of this puzzle together. And the way it looks to me, it’s two wrestlers who
are really at career crossroads. Both men had to make a choice. The way that I read this is that Booker T. Decided that he is going to be
active in singles competition, while Stevie Ray has decided
that he has chosen the course. The NWO, Black and
white represented by Hollywood Home. >> Speaker 3: Well, I think Booker T. Wanted the avenge the loss from Bret Hart. He wanted to go after him tonight,
win that United States Championship. And I think booker Stevie Ray is a little
more focused on tag team wrestling. And he’s jealous of his brother. There’s a lot of trouble there. >> Speaker 1: I think you’re right. He wanted to be a tag team. Booker T. Said no, so Stevie Ray made his choice. That being said, it’s time for
Big Sexy to come out. Look at the focus on
the eyes of Kevin Nash. >> Speaker 3: Giant car. >> Speaker 1: Yes, but he’ll be the leader
of NWA Wolfpack coming up at War Games. And his partner is a most unlikely
partner for Kevin Nash, wouldn’t you say? >> Speaker 2: Well, especially when Kevin Nash is going to be
involved at the War Games at Fall Brawl. And earlier this evening, Kevin Nash talked about taking a shot
at the world’s heavyweight champion. Now, later in this broadcast tonight, he’s joining forces with the world’s
title holder, the unbeaten Goldberg. >> Speaker 3: Well, from all my years in
this sport, I can tell you one thing. You can team with a guy on occasion. You can do a lot of favors for people. But when it comes time to go for
that championship belt, that championship match, all that money,
you got to go for yourself. >> Speaker 1: And
I think Goldberg realizes this. If there’s anything. There’s been a lot of attributes that
has propelled Goldberg to the top of our sport. Obviously, ability, intensity. His, he’s impervious to pain. But I think Goldberg has a realization
of what it means to be a world champion. I think Goldberg realizes that
they’ll come at you from all sides. That in the truest sense of the word,
being the heavyweight champion of the world means that you
have really no friends, that everybody’s goal is
to be the world champion. So Goldberg realizes that, but he’s agreed
to go into this Tag Team spectacular tonight realizing that, yes,
Kevin Nash will be with him as a team. But when it comes, which comes to shove,
and that will come later on down the road. Nash will look after himself. Becoming world champions. No way Nash can become a world champion. Champion this match tonight. So there’ll be a tag team and
it should be a darn good one. >> Speaker 2: Goldberg never
promised to be his friend. Kevin Nash asked him to
be his tag team partner. Goldberg said it plain and simple. You asked for it, you got it. Main event time. >> Speaker 1: The intensity that Goldberg
has brought to the sport and unparalleled. And there’s nobody like him. And, and the, the fact of the matter is we see Goldberg
during the day in the locker room area. You don’t see much because he’s so
protected by police and surrounded as world champions always are. But we see Goldberg from a distance. And he appears to be a mild mannered man. Appears to be. But as it gets closer to match time, you notice a lot of times they’ll come
out with the dent, if I can say that. Or the scar on the forehead from
hitting his head in the locker. Look at that,
the little bonding right there. And as he walks to the ring, the intensity
continues to build in the Goldberg. In the ring. There’s no one like him, fans. You know it. He’s showing Hogan that he’s got
the belt that he took from Hollywood. Hogan on this program back
in the month of July. >> Speaker 3: Well, Tony, he may be mild
mannered in the dressing room area, but he’s the man out there
in the ring right now. He’s packing the gold. He’s a champion of the world and
like you said, probably the most intense athlete
you’re ever going to find. >> Speaker 2: That focus is
a throwback to his football days. And he has that intensity
at an all new level. >> Speaker 1: So here we go. We go into this match with as
much curiosity as anything else. >> Speaker 3: And you knew Hogan

They could have done so much with Warrior here, too, but they missed the ball and screwed that big money maker up big time. The fans were all off their feet here, and I remember this live. An opportunity that should have been utilized much better.
