What can YOU LEARN from how the new PGA CHAMPION and 🌍 number 1 Scottie Scheffler trains? 🤔⛳️🏆

Let me break down some moves and why this training is so good👇🤓

Clips from chirosporttvb on Insta and credit to him and Scottie for this great work! 🎥👏

1️⃣ – Landmine Press

The landmine press is one of my go to shoulder pressing moves for golfers!

The angle of the landmine allows many people to train the shoulders in a friendly pattern and with a neutral grip.

Scottie is adding in a little opposite side motion here to encourage freedom through the trunk.

2️⃣ – Med Ball Slams

I’m a big fan of med ball work for golfers!

The lats are big power source in the swing so moves like this med ball slam are a great way to train them more explosively 🧨

These moves are also pretty fun too 😁

Keep reps low but intent high!

3️⃣ – CMJ

Jump impulse is a big factor when it comes to potential club head speed!

Lower body ground forces play a major part in power production in the swing and so its key to assess + train various hops + jumps!

4️⃣ – Sliding Disc Lateral Lunge

Lateral lunges are awesome for golfers to get us out of that sagital plane and exploring different angles.

We get really strong in bilateral squats + deadlifts etc but there is also huge value in challenging single leg and multiple planes of motion 😎

5️⃣ – Landmine Row + Reach

The landmine set up is awesome for your rowing work as the angle of the bar path is ideal!

This can be done with a T-Bar row set up and really loaded up but this split stance row + reach set up is a great option for challenging each side, getting freedom through the trunk and also challenging stability of the lead leg.

If you follow me you will know I’m a big fan of rows + reaches for golfers! 🙌

6️⃣ – Half Kneeling Plate Scoops

A great accessory “core” move.

Rotate low to high from a half kneeling set up staying stable through the lower body to feel your core light up 🔥

There we have it! 😁

So much good stuff here and credit to player + coach 💪

Modern golfer right here 👊
