Okay, so I’m in the process of finishing an unfinished basement. The Black Friday deals were too tempting to resist, so I decided to go ahead and buy everything I needed. I’ll upload a diagram of the room soon.
I’ll also need help with the electrical work. This will be an office, so I’ll need space for my desk (a secret lab Magnus XL. Two curved monitors, a custom PC, and an Eye XO 2 with two speed cameras, a 7.7 x 13-inch screen, and Carl’s enclosure). (I don’t need the enclosure because it came with it, but I want to build a custom wall for the screen.) I also have the 6×10 hotshot mat and the Uneekor trouble mat. Projector: AK700st
The ceilings will be lower than 9 feet, so I plan to recessed a box for the Eye XO 2 in between the joists to get to 9 feet or more. I want to do this right the first time, so any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Money is not a problem here, so feel free to go all out.
This will double as a movie room for the family. So ceiling surround is a must.

Those products all sound great. Only thing that gives me pause is the ceiling height. How much lower than 9? Have you swung a club in there yet? I know I was nervous swinging a driver with my projector at 10 from the 11.5 ceiling. Might need to do a floor mount projector. Can you recess the ceiling more?
