As the nation’s attention turns to the upcoming 2025 Men’s Crown Australian Open, another milestone for golf has unfolded indoors with the first-ever Your Tour Top 50 Invitational.
Hosted across X-Golf in Australia and New Zealand, Your Tour’s inaugural champions have now been crowned, setting a new benchmark for competitive golf and confirming it as one of the fastest-growing formats in the country.
Taking home the top spot is Geelong’s Tommy Wesley, who delivered a dominant season to claim both the Top 50 Invitational Stroke Title and the coveted Order of Merit crown.
Tommy’s statistics underscore his status as the face of indoor golf’s new era: 28 competitive rounds across six marquee events, a blistering 56 at St Andrews Old Course and a longest drive of 331.3 metres – the year’s benchmark.
Right on his heels is fellow Geelong contender Brian Blair, whose combination of accuracy and composure earned him runner-up honours in the Stroke Division. Blair posted a best score of 59 and maintained an average drive of 267.6 metres, finishing fifth overall in the Order of Merit standings.
In the Handicap Division, Queensland’s Chris Perry from Maroochydore completed a triumphant comeback season amid recovery after a serious cycling accident, resulting in fractured C3 and C4 vertebrae.
His control and resilience saw him take out the title ahead of Moreton Bay’s Joel Palmer, who showcased unmatched endurance across more than 100 rounds.
Your Tour also spotlights a breakout performance from Jess Reynolds, Adelaide’s leading female competitor, whose season proved that Australia’s best golfers continue to reshape sport’s gender balance.
Jess posted four top-10 finishes from 12 tournament rounds, including a remarkable 59 (-13) at the signature event, The Turtle, just one shot shy of victory and ahead of every male competitor in the field.
Her results rival professional standards, averaging 69 (-3) with an 88 per cent par-save rate.
GOLF’S NEW ERA
With golfers redefining the game and creating new records, Your Tour is an exciting expansion of an age-old sport which proves golf’s next frontier isn’t only found on the grass.
This new take on competitive golf offers a professional-grade pathway for players of all levels through simulated majors, skill challenges and a $25,000 Order of Merit prize pool.
And participation is growing rapidly, with the 2026 season set to expand, hosting 30,000 players across Australia and New Zealand.
Your Tour General Manager Peter Nolan said the tournament’s success shows how modern golfers are hungry for more ways to connect, compete and grow their game.
“Golf’s future isn’t about where you play, it’s about why you play,” Peter said.
“We’re pleased to provide a new wave of players with a welcoming golf community – a place to chase personal bests, cheer on their mates and be part of something personally rewarding.”
X-Golf’s Your Tour unfolds across six monthly seasons, culminating in a Championship event on each October across 34 locations in Australia and New Zealand.
