the firmest tightest ball you can buy versus the softest tightest ball you can buy what is the difference at a slow swing speed you feel softer 20 shots with each and to make this the fairest test possible the club delivery data has to be pretty similar with each so we can see average strike basically the same average swing speed pretty much bang on the same average delivered Loft pretty much bang on the same the angle of attack and path all very very close bull flight dat at the left bash actually flew 2 feet higher so we can see ball speed identical launch touch more out of the left Dash spin also a touch more out of the left Dash but carry absolutely identical for the slower swing speed you could even Edge to the left Dash just because it was flying that little bit higher we will be doing the same thing with driver so make sure to subscribe

  1. Meh, softer balls are really for feel around the greens….off the tee and approach shots….doesn’t matter

  2. so basically, a slower swing speed can use a prov but a faster swing speed will probably lose distance with a lower compression/softer ball?

  3. If you take out any variation in ball flight it seems like you are driving the experiment toward an equal outcome. Shouldn't you just constrain on swing speed and sample enough data to see if you get a variation in distance? Won't some of the ball flight variations be due to the ball and therefore relevent?
