final round of the cj cup at nine bridges kj choy the most accomplished and decorated korean-born golfer and the fans loved it when he poured in a birdie at 17 late he did finish just outside the top 15. adeki matsuyama 13 under working the t at 17. nearly 200 yards and he was nearly in for an ace he would roll back in for birdie and would finish top three on the leaderboard cameron smith the australian not sure he likes this one second shot coming into 18 and he should though attacking the par five this one working all the way to the pin just beyond four feet left for eagle and he would finish top three as well danny lee and justin thomas battling throughout the final round this for birdie at seven uphill punt and he makes that a one-shot lead for danny lee trying to win his second pga tour title meanwhile justin thomas trying to win for the second time here at nine bridges so after the birdie from lee breaking the tie at the top thomas gets one at the eighth and once again they’re both sharing the lead now it’s 17 under the ninth for danny lee after justin thomas was in for birdie lee makes his birdie almost a match play field between the two and the tie lead at 18 under now lee looking for the outright lead birdie at 12. he’s got it and he ties thomas at 19 under once thomas adds his birdie to the car and so both players again back and forth they go this shot out of the bunker and against the flag stick for danny lee saving par at 13. justin thomas meanwhile looking for birdie at 14. almost missed the cup but it catches a piece of it and he would take a one shot lead at 20 under so thomas with the upper hand coming to 18 one last chance and danny lee almost makes the eagle well it would open the door for thomas to finish things up and a birdie to win it the second time in his pga tour career that he has conquered nine bridges as he takes the title of the cj cup with a 20 under winning score thanks to a 67 he said he loved the battle with lee all day i felt like this course provides a lot of opportunities for two shot swings so i just i kept trying to hit fairways and greens and give myself a lot of birdie chances and he he just kept getting up and down from everywhere and it was it was hard to kind of keep my composure and stay patient but i knew that i was playing great golf and i felt like if i kept doing that then i was at least going to have a great chance on the last couple holes it’s on to japan for the zozo championship opening round coverage 11 pm eastern when tuesday on golf channel

In the final round of THE CJ CUP @ NINE BRIDGES 2019, Justin Thomas carded a 5-under 67 to get to 20-under for the tournament, claiming his second win in three years at NINE BRIDGES and his 11th-career victory on the PGA TOUR.
