Looking to get some opinions on which setup to go for on our sim build. This is a crude rendering but bear with me I tried my best haha. Option 1 is to go with a pool table. Seating would be limited to a bench at the back, but I am an avid pool player as well. Second option is to go with sofa and accent chair seating for a more optimal seating arrangement.
I know the feedback will probably be “if you want a pool table go with that” but was just hoping to hear from others that have gone one route or the other which they prefer.
Is a lack of seating a regret? Or is it the other way around where people never use the seating anyway.
Appreciate any tips in advance!

If you plan on playing with more than just yourself you will want seating and a place for everyone’s clubs. My sim is in my garage but I have seating behind the hitting area. With 4 players we also have bags sitting off to the side. Seats with a table would be my vote.
I haven’t done either, but my thought would be to go with the pool table. If you are using the simulator alone, seating doesn’t matter. If you’re having friends over to play, the pool table gives the others something to do while waiting for their turns. Often times conversations flow more freely among guys if we’re doing something, rather than just sitting. And the bench is still there in case someone wants to sit. I’d add a couple small bar height tables next to the bench for people to set drinks on.
Percentage of the time the Pool table is used when the room is occupied – 25%
Percentage of the time the couch is used when the room is occupied- 100%
Couch and bumper pool table (flips over for poker/card table)
