Earlier this month the 18-year-old confirmed her decision to join Miami’s program next year saying,
“I love the coaches. It’s close to home. Great school. I love the people there. My cousins went there as well, so I know people that have gone there. You know, it’s a great university and I’m looking forward playing for them.”
Kai also revealed that she received advice from Tiger Woods.
“I mean, he is the best golfer in the entire world. I would say that. And even better person. He told me to go out there and have fun and just go with the flow. Whatever happens, happens.”
Kai is currently ranked 461st in the American Junior Golf Association standings after playing three events this season. She also made her LPGA debut at The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. After her disappointing first start, she received a supportive message from Vanessa who has been by her side throughout her early golf journey.
