I was 3 off of my PR today. My macro goal is to break par, I know I’m capable. I feel my game is at the point where the consistency attributes to the amount of time I’m able to put towards my game. For the past several years I stayed surface level just trying to hit the ball better. Knowing that I need to put in more time, I’ve accepted that. I’ve learned recently that I have no clue how to manage the course, make better decisions on the course, how to score lower, change how I view playing through a round. Right now it’s trying to start off well, making sure I’m making consistent contact with the ball and playing my shot, then my mental game falls after the first few when those bad shots roll in. Any good tips for mental game, thoughts on the course, management, etc? I have a full time job, and with how difficult it is to get to the course/range during the week, I only get to play a handful of times a month. I get a good warmup in each round. I’ve been playing for two decades now, just never took any proper lessons. Thanks for your time!
