David Puig captured his first DP World Tour title in the first event of the new season at the BMW Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland Golf Club.
Puig, 23, marked his first start as a full member of the DP World Tour in spectacular fashion, becoming just the second Spaniard after late great Seve Ballesteros to lift the BMW Australian PGA trophy
Puig, a member of Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs GC on LIV Golf, finished the week on 18-under par and two shots clear of rising Chinese star Wenyi Ding.
The Spaniard earned €239,442.88 for his week’s efforts in Australia.
